The more a pet spends its time with us, the harder it is to let it go. Hehe. Giving a pet a name also makes the bond, I think.
We also recently got a pet kitten and she likes to come to my youngest son u in the early hours of the morning just to lick his face and ears, even ruffle his hair. 😸 Such a sweetheart she is. ❤️
Oh yeah, speaking about names, he didn't have a name until we adopted him. It took a bit of time before he eventually understand that Shiro is his name and would come when we call him. My mom and I wondered how come he's nameless despite being a year old cat. What's your kitten name? I think it's nice when you adopted from kitten, they're much easier to train and get attached to you quicker than a young-adult cat.
She's 5 months old and we got her from one of my friends who has 12 cats in her apartment. LOL. We planned on this adoption even before the kittens were born but we had to wait until she was weaned from her momma cat. Thankfully she did not have a hard time adjusting to our home.
The name was subjected to a bit of a debate coz the kids wanted to name her "Fluffy" and while I thought it was too generic I suggested Matilda and Wednesday (I was almost excommunicated, LOL). Then I said, why not "Tori"? They accepted provided that Fluffy is still the first name. She's now called Fluffy Tori, carrying our surname too. 😻
