It was injured in a collision with a car. This happens quite often when the bird is already weak or sick. As for the quality of life, they have a spacious aviary and the ability to move. The absence of a wing for a bird is not as critical as the absence of a leg. In the latter case, I'm not sure if it can be called life.

interesting, It was a really genuine quesstion as never really thought about birds unable to fly. I guess budgies kept in cages don't fly too mucheither. Can it get any kind of lift with the one?
