Hello friends of hive a pleasure to greet you again for me it is a pleasure to write to you, today I want to tell you about a small project that I have been working on with my partner that we started a few months ago but today I want to tell you a little about it. As I had told you I love everything that has to do with animals, their care and know a little more about them, last time I had told you about a dog I had which was called Hanna, you can visit the publication and learn a little about her, but today I will not talk about canines, this time it will be about pigs.
Some months ago a friend gave us the idea of raising pigs, the idea did not seem bad at all, they are animals that are really commercial, and many people like to buy them to raise them. We wanted to try it by buying three little pigs (two females and one male), but let's say that we didn't really plan for it, we had to bring them to the apartment where we live, can you imagine two pigs running in an apartment, urinating and pooping everywhere? Today it makes you laugh, but not really at the time.
We moved the pigs to a small town two hours away from the city where we live, my mother lives there, we talked to her to build a place where we could have them and raise them, the idea did not seem to her at all but finally she supported us.
We started the construction of a place that was quite cozy for these three little ones, with their respective feeding and drinking trough, with its roof and its respective lighting, its construction lasted approximately four days and once the place was ready it was time to welcome them to their new home.
We did not know much about their care, vaccinations and things that had to be placed, we began to read articles on the internet and seek advice from people who knew about the subject, many people have different ways of raising animals, both digging in social networks I came across the profile of a man who has been raising pigs about 35 years has dedicated his life and today has a farm, really fell like heaven, a very kind person and each of the questions and doubts I had did not hesitate to answer them.
Now it was time to put into practice what we had learned, we bought their feed, which is different for each stage of the pig, we also bought their vitamins, iron and antiparasitics. A friend did us the favor of deworming them, and put iron, for the time that our pigs had the food that we had to give them was development, which is given to them from 2 months of life, after being weaned and having given them the starter, the food should be given both in the morning and in the afternoon, and the food can be supplemented with corn fiber and with waste of vegetables and greens.
Approximately every 3 months they should be given their iron and antiparasitic, we have done it that way, today our pigs are big, later I will continue talking a little more about them.
keeping pigs as pets in an apartment must not have been an easy task. It's good that now the pigs have their space.
