Educational reforms in China to create robotics professionals.

The objective is to train the complete professional

The dispute over humanoid robotics left the laboratories and entered the classrooms, China is experiencing such a profound lack of engineers capable of integrating artificial intelligence, mechanics and sensors, that its main universities began to create specific courses in incorporated intelligence, an attempt to train the complete professional that the market made it clear that it needs.

Recent reports indicate that the production of humanoid robots in the country already represents a large part of global investment, but the contingent of talent does not accompany this expansion, the Beijing Institute of Technology estimates a gap of approximately 1 million qualified engineers and that gap pressures salaries to levels uncommon for recent graduates.

Built-in intelligence functions reach more than 333,000 yuan a year and algorithm specialists reach monthly salaries that jump to ranges much higher than those of conventional AI, given this, universities such as Yautang in Shanghai, Beihang University and the Beijing Institute of Technology are redesigning their study plans.

The argument is pragmatic, traditional courses segmented knowledge too much.

Building a humanoid robot requires unifying mechanical engineering for the body, or computer science for the brain and sensor technology for the nervous system. Historically isolated areas in different departments, they realized that academic and industrial aspects must be merged.

This crossover between academia and industry shows a consistent trend, market professionals begin to define national standards, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology itself appointed founders of Unitree and EgeBot to lead the national standardization committee, bringing teaching even closer to practice.
