Training on Data analysis and Freelancing

in StemSocial2 years ago

Hello Hivers, As I mentioned in my previous post, The digital marketing skill training goes on with me and this time round,it has been submerged with Data analysis and Freelancing and I've been enthusiastic and relentless about this on my journey to always have a skill not just having a degree. I hope everyone here is doing well By the Grace of God and as I've been privileged, I will entreat everyone to always grab opportunities like this as this will go a long way to improve on our living standards. This session covered Some areas of data analysis and freelancing. On the side of data analysis, we touched on Excel. We started with trying to understand the basics and understanding the actuality of Excel and what it entails. We touched on fields, rows, columns, tabs, cells, rebound that comprise of some group of tool and many others.

In Practicing, Our tutor gave us a preamble to compare data and how to clean data using Excel and also trying to understand concatenate, text join and adding different cells together and trying different ways of doing it. Moreover, We practically learnt how to use the operator tool and how to use the ampersand tool. "IMG-20230218-WA0022.jpg"

We also learnt how to split cells using the left, mid and right tool and how to use the LEN tool to calculate length of characters. Furthermore, we learnt how to use the clean function to clean unwanted characters and also how to use the trim function. Another tool we learnt how to use was the Substitute function. It's used to replace one character with another character and also trying to understand that Excel recognizes spaces.

Freelancing.
As part of the training, we were privileged to have a resource person via zoom who took us through freelancing and his experience as a freelancer.
He said,There are a lot of potential youth with employable skills who are available and willing to work but there are no jobs available and at the moment I felt it because I was in that shoes... It's pathetic!!

He started introducing himself and telling us what freelancing is all about... Per his explanation, freelance is self employed and hired to work for different companies on some particular assignments.
He shared slides as to how to go about the freelancing work.

The training has been educative and I'm loving every part of it and I'm pretty sure it will fulfill my expectations as someone who is yearning for a skill. The training goes on.
