The profitability of space conquest.

I believe that one day I can see a space station on the moon, and even more so on Mars, but humanity's permanence in those places must be made profitable in some way, and I hope that the space economy will end up exploding, and that will be due to substances, alloys and everything that can be done or that can only be done in conditions of weightlessness or vacuum.

Vacuum conditions can be reproduced here on Earth, they are expensive, but they can be reproduced, but weightlessness cannot, you can reproduce weightlessness in Torres Altas by throwing things, but it takes a few seconds and it is not useful for doing certain chemical tasks or creating substances, it is already known that there are certain substances that in conditions of weightlessness reach enormous degrees of purity, medical substances that can be very expensive.

And when all this is developed and a whole generation of products is created that need weightlessness, the space to be manufactured, then it will be very interesting to get the raw materials from the moon because it will be much cheaper, among other things, because launching anything from the moon is going to be cheaper and at that moment the moon will be profitable.

I'll give you a quick example, SpaceX is launching satellites, I think it already has 10,000 satellites from the Starlink constellation, it's almost as many as all the satellites that have been launched until 2020 or let's say 2015, from Sputnik to 2015, How is it possible that a private company has managed to launch more satellites than all the nations on the planet between Sputnik and 2015? because they are making a profit by selling internet and communications services.

They are making money from these satellites and that is why it is profitable to launch them and have a constellation, the day it is profitable to produce materials in space in conditions of weightlessness, since it will also be profitable to take materials and raw materials from the moon or Mars, that is why now it is also important to have the Moon present, to say, "I have the little flag there, but right now it is not profitable," but perhaps in the middle of the century it will be.

And at that moment it will be necessary to negotiate how to distribute the lunar or Mars resources and those who are going to sit at that table will be those who have the capacity to have planted their little flag on the moon, either with humans who have taken it to the moon or Mars or with automated systems that can act and be managed on the moon or Mars, those will be the ones who decide how to distribute the lunar resources, so that is why there are so many nations that now want to send a ship to the moon.
