RE: Three years of busy life in coffee, science and teaching

WOW nice to see such an extensive response.

To prevent us from going ping-pong, I shall limit my response to yours... Not sure if I will succeed though 😆

Young generation: Not generalise ... 100% you are right. I should've added a disclaimer, that what I write is not meant for all individuals in a group. I can assure you I have some young colleagues who go more than the extra mile, who fight for change, who drive change even when they are not a recognised driver seats. I have much respect for them. Similar in my circles of friends and acquaintances; youngsters who understand the world is not for grabs, who do not think everything shall come easy to them, who don't just expect without any feeling for obligations whatsoever. Good point though!

AI: Interesting indeed for sure. Though I am not a teacher, also I like to read those blogs. Perhaps I can use your experiences to get my elderly colleagues to embrace AI. Just finished a podcast in which someone told Whisper (voice-2-text) hallucinates only 1% of the time. I am impressed about that number. Also, the word 'hallucination', the Dutch version of this word, was voted for the 'word-of-the-year'. Had to laugh quite a bit when I heard that 😆

Top Quark Pairs: thanks for the links, will for sure read them. Perhaps I'll investigate your blog channel a bit more, for more related content.

Coffee: You do things the way I do. Get the beans from a proper bean shop. Mine doesn't have so many, but they burn the beans themselves. Five or six different 'flavours'. Well, more like from different countries, hence different beans. I tend to like the Dark Cherry Chocolate one the most. Best to drink is when the coffee is room temperature, only then the full taste is available to my senses.

Hahaha! I like ping pong (although I am not good at all at that game). I will only add that for AI, there is still a long way to go, but the current state of the art is already quite impressive (knowing where we were 5 years ago).

At the end, what matter is to find the right balance between different beans (this is what I meant by 'flavours').

Happy new year by the way!

True for AI.
Ping Pong: Great game indeed 😉
Same Same, NJOY the last day of the Year 🥳🎶
