Unfortunately, alcohol is a legal drug, the most consumed, and it has too many adverse effects, both social and psychological.
Still I think it will continue to be that way, because people generally assume it as something that is "normal", something that is actually allowed.

Exactly 💯. Alcohol is one of the most commonly abused substances in our environment. In addition to individual efforts to curb it, there should also be legislative efforts to regulate the production, distribution and consumption of alcohol.
