RE: The Man Who Forgot How To Speak - Treating Wernicke's Aphasia Through Non Dominant Language, A Live Study

in StemSocial2 years ago

I can't say enough good things about this post. First of all, and unrelated to the amazing information: I want to learn Swedish. Then, what a good, thoughtful, clever friend you are. You prove my theory about medicine: we really have to be active in our personal healthcare. Passive acceptance of a treatment plan works on the average, but who is average?

Your one-person experiment is brilliant. I hope this article reaches the ears/eyes of experts who work in this field. It would surely end up helping more than one person.

I wish Albert rapid progress on his path to recovering the ability to speak coherently in English.

Thank you for your kind words.

I do recommend Swedish, I have learned a bit myself and it is very rewarding as progress is fast due to the structural similarity to English. I recommend the app Duo Lingo to start with.

After some more experiments, I may try and contact Dr Ansaldo, but I need to do more research first.

Thanks for stopping by!
