My post to contribute to #MarketFriday by @dswigle. Last week, Friday April 21 to be precise, my family and I celebrated Idul Fitri. All day long we shop for all kinds of needs in the Friday market which is full of blessings. I will share my exciting shopping experience on Friday with my husband and children. We woke up at 05.00 WIB to prepare for the Eid al-Fitr prayer at the Muhammadiyah mosque field. Eid prayers are held at 07.40 WIB and finish at 09.00 WIB. After the Eid al-Fitr prayer, we gather at our uncle's house to apologize to each other for forgiveness or halal bi halal, this is an unwritten obligatory tradition, usually held after the Eid prayer. In this activity, the whole family gathers while enjoying the dishes provided by the host. Because our grandparents and parents have passed away, this year's Eid al-Fitr celebration is being celebrated at our uncle's house.
After the family gathering ended at 13.00 WIB, we did not go home. The children had just received THR (Holiday Allowance) money from their relatives, the children wanted to shop for clothes and eat ramen noodles at Binjai Supermall, the only mall in our city, Binjai city, North Sumatra province.
I took the children to the Matahari Department Store to buy clothes. Matahari Department Store is located on floors 1 and 2 of the Binjai Supermall building. We went straight to the 2nd floor, on the 2nd floor there is a special counter for men's, children's and adult clothing.
THR money for children is only enough to buy one pair of clothes, the average price for one pair of children's clothes at the Matahari Department Store is 300 K rupiah. But the children are very happy to be able to add one pair to their clothing collection.
During Eid like this, many discounts are offered, ranging from 20 percent to 80 percent. Apart from that, there is also an attractive offer, if you buy 1 outfit, you will get 2 clothes free. Even though I know, on days like this the sellers raise the price of clothes from normal prices on normal days, then make attractive offers during Eid al-Fitr, but buyers still buy for Eid needs.
Our family usually shop for Eid clothes on the first day of Eid, because we don't have much time to shop at the mall during Ramadan fasting. We bought children's clothes for the first day of Eid, two months before Eid. so during Eid, we will be shopping for some new clothes to wear for the week of Eid. It's time to pay, I went to the cashier to pay for some of the clothes the children had chosen.
It didn't feel like we were shopping for about two hours, the children were getting hungry, I took them to the ground floor. On the ground floor there is a food court, with lots of food choices. I ordered food to the counter that had been provided by the mall manager. Each counter has a different food menu. After looking at some of the menu we chose a few. My husband only chose KFC, Hasby and I chose chicken noodles, while Rais and Marsa chose Japanese ramen noodles. After paying at the cashier, we waited for our orders to come.
After waiting 15 minutes, the orders finally started coming. First Japanese ramen noodles. Without waiting for his brother, Rais immediately ate the Japanese ramen noodles he ordered. he was very excited, during fasting Rais refrained from eating ramen noodles whose broth was spicy. Now he is very excited to eat ramen noodles.
The next order that came was KFC and white rice, this was my husband's order. Because they were hungry, the three of them ate first. Hasby and I are waiting for our order, chicken noodles.
After waiting 25 minutes, our order finally came, chicken noodle. The broth looks delicious and there is also one piece of dumpling that tastes delicious.
Mix the broth while it's hot into the noodles, so the taste of the noodles is more delicious. If we mix the broth while it's cold, the noodles taste bad.
A bowl of delicious chicken noodles is ready to be enjoyed. Hasby Likes the taste of chicken noodles. He really enjoyed his chicken noodles.
Rais had not finished eating his ramen noodles, he was spiciness, even though he was still hungry. He glanced at the chicken noodles me that I was eating, it seemed he was interested in the chicken noodles. I said to Rais, "what if we exchange?" With a face full of victory, he immediately took his chicken noodles.
The price for 1 portion of chicken wonton noodles is 19 K rupiah, while the price for a serving of Japanese ramen noodles is 25 K rupiah, for white rice 7 K rupiah and one piece of KFC chest section 20 K rupiah.
After eating, the children took me to the cinema. The cinema is on the 3rd floor. After arriving at the cinema, I saw what films were showing today.
All the films shown on Friday are horror films, so I don't want to take the kids to watch them. I took them home to rest.
This Friday is an exciting Friday to spend THR money. Our family had fun today, bought some clothes and enjoyed culinary delights at Binjai Supermall. Happy marketFriday🥰
All the photos I took with the Realme GT master Limited edition 5G camera.

You really had a wonderful Friday! I cannot believe all that you did! The food court offered many different options and it seems like the entire family found something that they liked, especially after you swapped. :) Mothers always do that, don't they?Wee like to see our children happy.
How nice the outfits looked when they were tried on by everyone! I especially like the tan (or light brown) one on your son. He looks very nice in it.
How sweet, going to the movies, everyone... I do not like horror either!!
#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.
Thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday
