Hello! Hello! It was not the normal one that we usually have here, but, it was still nice. Is anything going to be normal again?
Yesterday was the Epiphany (or Three Kings Day and mostly celebrated in Latin America, Europe, and Spain so, all celebrations have been put to rest until the next one. My neighbors brought over homemade tamales and sweet bread. You know it isn't over until then. So now, real life kicks in and we start anew.
The last pic? Scrolls back. Well, now that you point it out... 😮
Happy New Year, Boom!
#MarketFriday loves you!
Mmm mm, tamales and sweetbread. Sounds lovely. We are winding down from the new year proper and it is all getting back to normal. On the subject of which, everything here is mostly normal now. It feels almost wrong!
Everything was pretty normal here for a long time and now, a few States are talking about revisiting the mask mandate. They have decided to make it a health-related issue for those at risk, rather than a political/social statement. New York was encouraging indoor (public) masking as RSV, Covid-19 and the flu had been circulating, Most of the country remains unmasked, but, the numbers are going up in many places.
Le sigh.
It does feel wrong to be normal, we are so used to acting like the sky is falling. Perhaps this is the year to fix it all. I have hope in my soul.
