It’s been a while since my last post in this wonderful community. A lot of things happened, good and bad but at least I’m back now, hopefully for good.
So I am participating again for #MarketFriday initiated by @dswigle. I’ve been a regular subscriber of #MarketFriday before, even when I was still working in Saudi Arabia. Too bad I failed to participate in a lot of Fridays.
Anyhow, my entry now is not really a joyous and wonderful #MarketFriday. What I mean is compared to my previous entries/posts this one now depicts the effects of the pandemic. In my photos, readers will really notice that if it’s not because of covid19 this place will surely is filled with shoppers.
Although, even if there are not many people around but you will notice that the management of the mall is trying their best to make their place attractive to customers.
As you can see they have displayed locally made paintings. There are actually a lot of them but I was able to take pictures of only a few.
These paintings are the product of artists from Cagayan de Oro and nearby areas, although mostly they are a residence of Cagayan de Oro.
This is the atrium, this area is used to be flooded with shoppers, as they used this place as a display area for sale items. Sometimes the atrium is also used for car display and venue for some programs or activities.
This hallway is going to the first 2 movie houses of the mall and on both sides, you can see restaurants and apparel displays. Although some of them are still open yet you can see rare customers coming in, which is very crucial when it comes to their income.
This one is going to the west which used to be full of shoppers as smaller shops are located here. Unfortunately, most of the shops are already closed that is why you can rarely see customers in my photo. And besides, since we are under a modified enhanced community quarantine, most of the people are restricted to enter the mall.
The photo below is really devastating. Jollibee is one of the top food chains in the Philippines. So when we say one of the top, normally you can see a lot of customers in all their branches. But look at Jollibee now.
I am not so worried about the business itself but I am thinking of those hundreds of crew members and staff who lost their jobs.
This part is the atrium. I came down and took a picture of myself, at the back are actually displays of some stuff for sale but there are no people around, I can't even see sales clerks or in charge of those displays. Maybe they can just leave their items as there are no customers.
In one area you can see an ad selling condominiums. I wonder if they are able to generate sales or attracts customers with their display. Too bad I did not see someone also supposed to be in charge to entertain would-be buyer's queries.
I remember before covid19 starts, a lot of customers are taking their favorite coffee in this area. It is actually located just in the midst of the ground floor hallway. Now they are close.
So that's all for my #MarketFriday post this week hopefully I could submit another blog next Friday.
KEEP SAFE AND GOD BLESS!

These works of art that you show really catch my attention! I was watching for a brief moment trying, it's incredible how in shopping centers there are this kind of works that inspire anyone to be an artist.
