CHESTER ENTERPRISES - CARBON BRANCH, CEBU CITY, PHILIPPINES
The Department Of Education here in the Philippines provided another new uniform which is compulsory to use for School Year 2026-2027. I finally decided to go to the city to purchase some cloth to be used.
The tailor I found is just from Tuburan since it is where my workmates had their new uniforms sewed. So I decided that I will have my new uniform sewed there also.
From Tuburan, we traveled to Cebu City via motorcycle to Carbon, where Chester Enterprises is located, one of Cebu's official distributor for DEPED uniforms.

CHESTER ENTERPRISES - CARBON, CEBU CITY, PHILIPPINES
Chester Enterprises is one of the biggest textile stores here in Cebu and not only are their prices so affordable, they also offer high-quality textiles.
It is my first time to buy cloth here at Chester Enterprises because back then, my first DEPED uniform was an over-all package (both the cloth and the payment of the tailor's labor). Now, I bought myself my own cloth and then I will be the one to bring the cloth to the tailor.
INSIDE CHESTER ENTERPRISES - CARBON BRANCH, CEBU CITY, PHILIPPINES
Chester Enterprises is quite spacious and there are cloths of different colors, fabrics, texture and of different prices. Almost all types of fabrics can be found here.
There are also other clothing essentials like zippers, buttons, threads, needles and so much more.

They also posted their contact number which is very helpful for this can be an easy access to everyone who can convenienly call first before heading here to make sure that they can be able to secure the goods they need.

While waiting for the saleslady to assist, I saw this poster which shows the Department Of Education's design for both teaching and non-teaching personnel.

Here are the different DEPED uniform cloth needed for the new uniform and it's corresponding sizes and prices:

I saw this Peach Twill and Katrina cloth differences which made me so curious. Basically, the Peach Twill type of clothing is known fot its diagonal weave pattern, smooth texture and it is often made from cotton or polyester. Meanwhile, the Katrina Fabric is typically a lightweight type of clothing made out of one hundred percent polyester. Whatever cloth you will choose, they do not vary that much.
I am a plus size girlie therefore I got myself the size 2XL. The cloth for Tuesday and Thursday is the same because both days have the same uniform design but I still bought each for each day because I only bring our laundry once a week. It would be helpful if I have all complete 04/04 Uniform.

I paid ₱2,290.00 in total. Then for the tailor's labor, this will cost ₱700.00 per set. 4 sets x ₱700 will sum up to ₱2,800.
Cloth : ₱2,290.00
Tailor's Labor: ₱2,800.00
Total: ₱5,090.00
As a public school teacher in the Department of Education here in the Philippines, we are given ₱6,000.00 which serves as our CLOTHING ALLOWANCE.
So if my total payment for this new set of uniform is ₱5,090.00, you might say that I still have a change from the ₱6,000 CLOTHING ALLOWANCE.
But that ₱6,000 Clothing Allowance is definitely not enough. Whenever we have school activities and school events, we have additional payment for our POLO SHIRTS which normally costs ₱450.00 each.
Example, we have a Summit, we have to pay ₱450.00 for a polo shirt.

TVL STAKEHOLDER'S SUMMIT
During our Summit, we purposely chose to have a customized polo shirt just for us TVL Class advisers and TVL Teachers. This polo shirt costs ₱450.00.
TUBURAN 1 DISTRICT POLO TSHIRT

Another polo shirt we had customized is our District Polo Shirt for Tuburan District I. This polo shirt ₱450.00
TUBURAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT SHIRT

Another polo shirt we have is this green Tuburan National High School polo shirt we paid for ₱450.00 each.
We indeed have a lot of different official school polo shirts and we pay it using our CLOTHING ALLOWANCE but sometimes we get to pay it using our own money since the CLOTHING ALLOWANCE is not enough. Still, I am so grateful we have that so that it can lessen the burden of us paying using our own money.
I am so grateful I have the type of work everyone dreams of and everyone works hard to achieve. I am far from being succesful, but somewhat, I made it. My progress is slow but slow progress is still progress. I am forever grateful to be a public school teacher here in the Philippines.
I am so happy I get to buy all the things I need. We then went back home to Tuburan.
To new work clothes! Ciao! ❤️
