I have come to appreciate the little things in life. Who knew they just may be the most precious moments of your day? This week was another amazing week wandering the fields at the Tulip Farm, unbelievably, every single day, except Easter of course. Every day, I select 5 tulips and bulbs to come home with me, Although these are beautiful, I select the ones that are still in buds, giving me the most time to enjoy them, as I watch them slowly open up and show off their beauty. How can I deny them the chance to show off for me?
For those of you who are already tired of looking at tulips, as if that is even possible? I think not, but, I won't be narrowminded. Surely there are one or three of you, yes? Raise your hand so I can see who you are. There will be no judgment, or at least so little you won't even notice it.
My family celebrated Easter last weekend. We did all the traditional things like coloring Easter Eggs, and flowers all around the house, but, the day starts off with the Easter Mass followed by a large family meal. We have always had lamb, and the tradition continues. Orthodox Christians around the world celebrate Easter/Pascha this Sunday. Easter service starts their day, and there will be decorated eggs (theirs are with red dye), and eat their traditional foods for dinner.
About those red eggs: In the Orthodox and Eastern Catholic Churches, Easter eggs are dyed red to represent the blood of Christ, with further symbolism being found in the hard shell of the egg symbolizing the sealed Tomb of Christ—the cracking of which symbolized his resurrection from the dead. source
Today is #MarketFriday initiated by @dswigle (Denise, that's me!!) Join me as we share our markets across the globe. I always look forward to seeing what you send me! It is amazing to see the different markets and cultures of our friends here on Hive.
Rows and rows of color. I do so love the brilliance of tulips, is it no wonder they long to be picked? I picked three of those tall yellow tulips which looked simply regal standing so tall and beautiful. I am not sure I have a favorite color for a tulip, each one is more remarkable than the other. I find it hard to play favorites. Do you have one that you favor? What is the color you like best? Remember, you can have more than one favorite. It is only fair!
If you read last week's #MarketFriday post, you already know that I have a season pass for the tulip farm. I say that with a smile. The tulip season is about three weeks and then it is gone, gone, gone. I paid $75.00 for the season pass, which also includes the sunflower farm in July/August. You get free flowers every time you go. Five tulips every day and three sunflowers when they are in season. Every day. You can go any time of the day and stay as long as you want. I know there are those wondering if it is worth the money spent.
Yes! Have you bought tulips lately? Depending on which variety, the fairly inexpensive tulip sells from $1 to $3 per stem. If you buy a dozen, they range from $12 to $25.Using those figures, I am almost streaming those flowers. To be fair, I still think that is expensive. But, can we really put a price on beauty? Why, yes! Yes, you can. Ah, but, inhale their scent. It is intoxicating!
The color mixes are sometimes surprising, but, always complimentary. I have never met a tulip that I didn't love. If tulips do not grow where you live, what is your favorite flower? I love frangipani. They have such incredible perfume. Now, I cannot grow them here, but, I still love them.
They set up their tables so that you can wrap your tulips up and keep them together. If you pulled out the bulb with the flower, you can cut it off and toss it in the amnesty bucket, the back garbage bin to the right of your table. In a few hours, it will be full of bulbs that are being given back. If you keep them, they charge you $1.00 a bulb and if you toss them back, you pay nothing. Works out nicely.
I have bought a few varieties that I really liked for my own garden. I am pleased to be able to get some varieties that I have never had before. Yesterday, I bought 5 bulbs for $1.00, so I got charged $5.00 extra so I could continue walking out that door. Hypothetical, as there is no door. Still, I paid the $5.00 but I was excited to get these bulbs. Each one of them had a double bulb. You only get charged for one. So yes! Another bonus! It's like they are paying me to take their bulbs away!
Have you ever visited a flower farm? I have a new appreciation for flower farms. They provide a service for money. Obviously, it is something that makes a good living for many people, plus the owner.
I am money ahead already on the pass vs buying them outright. I like when I can see how well I did, checking out the site before it goes up for sale. There are only so many tickets and they don't have enough space to allow more in.
They have a bunch of wooden shoes, all of them well-worn. I like the blue one with the tree on it. Sometimes after the rain, I bring my own wooden shoes that I bought in Holland. I used to garden in them as my house over there could get pretty muddy in the rain. There is nothing worse than getting newer shoes out with you when you are basically drowned in the mud here at the farm.
Please leave the link to your post here so it can easily be found by others. It helps you and me to have them in one place. Where else can you take such a quick trip around the globe? Thank you so much for joining us!! ❤

Now I understand why eggs had been colored to red during Easter Sunday, thanks for that information. But I also see eggs with different colors and have different designs, so they have a meaning too?
Wow! Tulips! They were so beautiful and they are in different colors too. Tulip is very rare here in our place and I seldom see them even in flower shop.
$1 for one step, that is pricey for me but it's still worth the price if you really love it.
I participated #marketfriday this time and here is my entry:
https://ecency.com/hive-196308/@jenthoughts/a-visit-to-a-newly?referral=jenthoughts
The price of one tulip is similar in my country (in Hungary). It is around 299 Hungarian Forint (HUF), which is currently $0.88 USD, because $1 USD is currently 340.57 Hungarian Forint (HUF).
For example the rose is more expensive. One rose is around 410 Hungarian Forint (HUF) ($1.20 USD).
The orchidea is even more expensive. One orchidea is around 2286 Hungarian Forint (HUF) ($6.71 USD).
Depending on the occasion, all could worth it.
Have a nice day and have a nice weekend.
All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.
Wow! There is also tulips in your country. Here in Philippines I seldom see them and if it is available so pricey.
The tulip bulbs need cool temperatures to grow healthy roots. That is why they don't grow in the Philippines. But there are so many tropical flowers that are incredible that are not able to take the cooler temperatures here.
However, I planted and flowered tulips when I lived in the desert, but it was worth it for me. I tricked them by cooling them in the refrigerator and even though it was short-lived, I got m tulips. :) It was a piece of home that I missed.
You really love it you really find a way to have them even it means you need to put them in the refrigerator.
Like everything else, the meaning got watered down and the colored eggs evolved. So, it is said it is done festively to mark the end of fasting. A celebration of sorts.
Tulips are beautiful and yes! $1.00 a stem is expensive, but, mine are free. Five a day anyway. Frangipani and orchids are expensive or nonexistent as they are not from here.
You participated! Thank you! I appreciate you dropping the link!
#MarketFriday loves you!
Thanks for that answer. Thank you also for initiating #marketfriday.
You are welcome! Have a great day!
Love all the tulips I never tire of seeing them so feel free to share more
I to loke the clogs you like, I have never tried wearing them I am guessing that cannot be that comfortable
Here is my market Friday Post for this week https://peakd.com/hive-194913/@tattoodjay/market-friday-at-buttonwood-park-zoo
Thank you! Tulips for all! They are so short-lived, I have a tendency to put them up every time I post.
About the clogs: When I lived over there, we bought wooden shoes for the family as we were good tourists, living in a foreign country. The kids wore them all the time, my neighbors used to call them the clacker kids because that is the sound they made on the pavement. I wore mine in the garden as it was wet a lot. They actually hurt the first day or two, but after that, they were so comfortable. Ask Stresskiller. No doubt, Mick wears them in his garden. They are practical and easy to clean. I still have mine, although mine are the plain wood ones the kids all have colorful ones.
Thank you for supporting the challenge!!
#MarketFriday loves you!
always a pleasure to visit your posts
Yes the Tulip Season is so short such a pity
thanks for the info on clogs
I just found out a few minutes ago, the farm will probably close on Tuesday! That is just two weeks - a much shorter season than normal. Today was almost 90 and it has been like that for a week, so it has made more bloom and in a much faster mode. How sad. :(
But, at least I got to see them.
Yes glad you got to see them we had a couple of days inthe 80s which was nice, but now dropping back to low 60s for a week
glad you got to see them :)
PS quite surprised but the good thing is even though I am eatng well now my Weight that I lost has mostly stayed off so far only put one lb back on
You don't mind if I don't like you anymore, right? LOL Just kidding, that is great~ You are doing right!
Lol just lucky I guess not doing anything right
Hi, Denise, glad you had a happy and bright Easter, along with all your large family. These family holidays are unique even if they are similar, but there always has to be something different. Because that's life! I see that the Easter flower for you is the tulip. Good choice...
Flower farm, the subscription that gives you tulips and sunflowers... how wonderful that you have such vast gardens that you can plant these flowers!
The price of tulips is similar to the price in Bucharest, which means an advantage for you (I mean buying power). As for your favorite color, you're right, it's so hard to choose. I'm leaning towards yellow.
I'm so glad I could see your post so close to its "birth", it happens to me so rarely. More proof of our similar tastes. I still love the blue wooden shoes myself.
We're still at work, Magda is unstoppable in the week before Easter. That and many other less pleasant happenings have prevented me from responding to a few comments. I know you forgive me, thank you!
Thank you, Dan! @bluemoon It was a wonderful Easter, a warm and beautiful day. It was a family day, always one of my favorites when that happens. The family holidays are most likely more similar than different, and yes! You guessed it. The Easter flower is the tulip. It bursts onto the spring scene bright and beautiful!
I am so amazed at all the tulips that have been planted through the Tulip Farm, all sorts of brilliant colors! I have gotten some beautiful parrot tulips, they have fringed edges, almost like feathers. It is so hard to choose favorites
Yellow! They are always tall and very sturdy. I describe them as elegant. O almost never stay up to answer the posts, it is always two am, but, today it is 3:30 am and I decided to answer them before I go to bed.
I hope life hasn't been too terrible for you, Dan! I always forgive you for not being able to do that. As long as you and your family are okay.
If I don't get to see you before, I wish you a pleasant holiday! Paște fericit!
#MarketFriday loves you!
Dear Denise, you brought back such good memories with that, one of my favourite flowers! I loved them so much, that it was the flowers I chose for my wedding bouquet, believe it or not! My wedding cake was decorated with them. I'll see if I have any of those photos scanned to show you.
We had quite a big tree in my parent's home, so didn't even have to buy the flowers for the bouquet. The milky substance would 'bleed out' and don't ask me how they did it, but my uncle made the most stunning bouquet with them, and a friend of Mom's made the cake. It was her specialty, and she made many many wedding cakes in her lifetime, even when she was quite an old gal.
We had a frangipani tree here at home but had to take it out when we upgraded our driveway, it was planted too close. They grow from cuttings, but I never managed to get another tree growing. Funnily, even though they grow well here, I've not seen one for years!
We will be visiting our son in the Netherlands soon, and look forward to seeing the tulips, I can't wait after seeing your post.
What a nice concept getting a season ticket, how I would love to be there with you, especially to go to the sunflower farm. Those were my Mom's favourite flowers.
Have a wonderful Friday Denise xxx
Oh, I have a great love for the frangipani! The perfume from them is like heaven on earth, isn't it? I cannot even imagine living in your house, the constant reminder every time I walked out that door. Heaven! I am sure it was painful to cut down any tree, but, to not be able to grow it back? Torture! Interesting that they seem to have disappeared. Who says that there is no climate change? It is a slow process, but I can honestly say that here in the Washington, DC area, it is definitely warmer than when I live here last We had snow in the winter and now we don't. Odd? Indeed.
Over here, they call them plumeria, but they are the same thing, I can grow it in a pot, but I prefer to visit places that can grow it naturally. :) Okay. perhaps I just love travel.
They (the internet) say that the best way to grow trees is by cuttings too, although seeds are possible. I never knew about the cuttings. I might have tried taking one home. Oh, there is that pesky do not take plants over the State border thing.
The season pass is amazing as you get to go every day during the season 3-4 weeks long and you get 5 free stems/bulbs every time you go, even every day. The sunflowers peak is three or four months, then for about 6 weeks, you can go every day and you get three free blooms every day. That is a true bargain. Both farms and all those flowers for one price. It is a lot of money, but, you are getting a lot for it. I am not ridiculous though, If I had to choose food/ a bill to pay or this, it would be no contest. Thankfully, I don't have to choose. I can see Miss Lily loving the beauty of a sunflower, such happy blooms, just like her. 💛
How cool you are going to see your son. I am not sure why I thought it was later in the season, but, this is perfect! I hope he takes you to the Keukenhof, although the beauty of the country at this time of year is stunning. I briefly lived in a town outside of Soesterberg, Netherlands. The weather was cold and damp, but it was so beautiful, it was merely incidental. I am sure your son can attest to that. I hope you have an amazing time! I look forward to pictures, although I hope you forget about Hive for a moment and revel in your special time.
If you find those pictures of your wedding? I would love to see them!!!❤️ If you don't, my imagination still works!
Thank you for such a lovely comment, Lizelle @lizelle I hope you have had an amazing day so far! Love to you!
#MarketFriday loves you!
It is strange that I have not seen frangipani around here of late, who knows it possibly can be climate change, or maybe it's not popular anymore as it loses all its leaves in winter, but when it comes to life again and starts flowering, that fragrance and beauty is so worth it! I never knew it was also called Plumeria, we learn so much here on Hive, don't we!
I found one wedding pic that shows the bouquet - don't laugh at my bonnet, that was my arty uncle's design :) He came down 2 weeks before the wedding and made my dress as well as my bridesmaid & 2 flower girls. Any other mother would have been stressing but Mom Lily knew her brother would work through the night(s) to get the job done in time. And he made the bouquets!
Have a wonderful weekend Denise, here is the bride ;);) Photo is a tad faded - it is almost 50 years old after all ;)
PS We are really looking forward to our trip, told the kids to settle properly first & then book flights, so it may only be early June. We can always have a late 7th ;) birthday celebration.
It is strange, isn't it? Perhaps the acidity of the soil had changed? Most of the trees here in the area lose their leaves in the Autumn/Fall season, not making a comeback until early Spring, so I am used to the bare trees. It gives credence to old man winter.
The bride is beautiful! I know you don't like the headpiece, but, I would have to say that it made a statement and it looks sweet to me! I am enamored with it because your uncle made it and the dress. That alone seals the deal. He made the entire wedding party? Wow and wow! What an incredible man! Is this the uncle that was your favorite, and in the drama field? You have had some amazing people in your life, Lizelle @lizelle, and interesting life -still!!!
I don't blame you for looking forward to it! I love Europe and especially in the Spring. You will miss the tulips as the season runs from the end of March until mid-May, but the flowers are usually at their best halfway through April. If I were going, I would be there in mid-April for the best show. I will be thinking of you when you go!
You can always have a late 7th birthday celebration!! It just makes another way to extend that wonderful day! ❤️
It was my favourite uncle's older brother - they both wanted to make my wedding dress, but as the older brother was the one to throw his toys out the cot, my favourite uncle & I agreed we'd avoid the drama and let him make it :):) He actually was a model in Paris & Franfurt, was tall, dark & handsome. My Oupa was not impressed at first that his 2 sons did not go into 'manly' jobs, one a model and artist, while the younger son became a ballet dancer & ended his career in the theatre world, but in the end they made him proud! They kept us enamored with their stories!
I love the stories you tell about your family! It is as much the way you retell them as much as the stories themselves. I hope that these have been written down for the family to keep going and going!
Thanks so much for sharing them with us!!! ❤️
Haha ... you tulip fangirl, you.
I am rather a fan of these distressed girls. They were planted in the gardens of the Parks Board and so I guess they kept the best for themselves.
I really am fangirling, aren't I? They are stunning and they are hard not to love! What is not to love, yes?
There is so much beauty in the distress of things. Just look at the colors. I wonder what the other guy looks like? Aeee. Bad joke!
Thanks for stopping by, @ryde!

When I was still at school I read The Black Tulip, a novel by Alexandre Dumas and I got obsessed with tulips. I bought a lot of bulbs and planted them but it was a complete failure. I don't know why. Maybe the bulbs weren't any good or me, as a child, I was neglecting to water them, I don't know. The thing is that after that failure I lost interest and never dealt with them again! It's not that I dislike them but they are not very common in Greece and they just aren't part of my life :)
Anyway I appreciate much more the wild flowers, the ones that grow on their own without any human intervention!
For this #MarketFriday I referred to my archive and my memories, I hope you like it!
A treat for the eye and a feast for the mouth
Oh, yes!! A novel that was full of political intrigue! Good taste! I am not sure what went wrong with your tulips, but, I am guessing it was the bulbs. I never water mine, they come up after winter is over,
Do not tell me you were a failure! I refuse to believe it! :)
That would probably do it for me. When I was young? Terribly true thought. You would think it wasn't so, but you were a child. Funny enough, I treat my bulb like that. If they want to do well, fine. If not, fine. It is up to them.
Thanks so much! Thanking you, hoping that all is well with you.

Traditional painted eggs never done in our home, we bought chocolate eggs to hunt for, as children Mom made chocolate eggs and wrapped them in glitzy paper herself !LOLZ
Tulips another flower we seldom see due to warm climate, perhaps inland some would venture to try planting them in gardens. People always link tulips to Holland yet I do believe they originally come from Turkey.
Wooden shoes were pretty comfortable once you got used to wearing them, the ones with star and feathers look to be the ones I would have selected.
Happy days are days among flowers, gentle perfume wafting around, enjoy your gift and free flowers you enjoy!
We hunted eggs, they were the ones we painted. :) It evolve into the smaller eggs when the little kids got bigger. Oh, I bet your eggs were pretty with the glitzy paper! I even love how it sounds.
To really grow tulips, there needs to be a cold spell to make the roots grow. If it doesn't have this time, it will not grow. Of course, you can fool them with the refrigerator, but, it is a lot of work for little payoff.
I love my wooden shoes and yes! They are comfortable once you adjust to them. It usually takes a day or three for me with new ones, but once you adjust, they are wonderful. And perfect garden shoes. You picked perfectly fun ones. :) They must be fun, yes?
I have had a series of happy days! Thank you. I love the gift of flowers!

Memories, always fun to think back on what we did as children or with our own.
Clogs were fun in the winter months, pairs you have mine are long gone, now only a couple of miniatures in delft blue hang on the kitchen wall.
Happy weekend Denise and a wonderful day to you and yours.
Thank you! You are always so very kind! 💙

I am not aware of people who get tired of looking at tulips. Fields of tulips are so beautiful!

He! I love that about you! Fields of tulips are amazing, that is the truth!! To me. The tulips will only be around for another two weeks or so, but, I dream of them all winter while waiting for Spring to show its face.
Thank you for the words and for dropping the link! Much appreciated! I hope your week has been amazing!
#MarketFriday loves you!
nothing wrong with a good pair of wooden shoes :) lovely tulips that reminds me that is hould go out and make some more tulip picctures in the garden here , have a great weekend..
Exactly! I love my wooden shoes and everybody asks if they are comfortable. Yes! Not the first day or two, but, they really are quite comfortable and the best garden shoes ever. They wash nicely.
I ran over to your place to gander at your flowers. Is your season as weird as mine has been? My magnolias froze and yet, last week they tried to bloom again, although not as pretty because of the black frozen buds. It is a repeat of last year in some ways. No winter to speak of, then summer temps in February, then a week of frozen temps, followed by hot again.
It really wreaks havoc on nature.
Hi, Mick! @stresskiller
#MarketFriday loves you!
my flower buds of my dogwood got frozen , the rest is to early to saythe tulips how ever and my anemones are doing an awesome job .
have a great weekend Denise , @dswigle
That is great! It has been somewhat disappointing to have Spring hoisted upon us in such a manner. It used to be a slow roll into the season, showing up slowly and presenting itself. Now, we are getting no winter and 27C in February, only to finally get some winter at the end of March, freeing my dogwood and magnolias...
I will say that my tulips are wonderful and I shall have to be happy with that.
I always paid more attention to the little things than to the great ones haha ! Those are the most precious indeed, those... and tulips ! Definitely among my favorite flowers 🌸 I thank you for this colored and joyful visit 😘 Have a good and pleasant weekend.
Here's my Asian shopping and degustation at the restaurant :)
I know you do. :) I read your posts. Little things are precious and very nearly ignored by some. How little they know. Oh, the tulips will be fading in no time. The temperature has been too warm and truly, they do so much better with a little cool in the air. This is probably the shortest season I have ever seen. I hope you are doing well and getting ready for the weekend. Perhaps a little rain on this side of the pond.
Oh, yes! I made Asian for dinner tonight. Nothing fancy, but, it was good!
Thank you for stopping by and leaving your words! You forgot to drop your link! :) I think I can find it.
#MarketFriday loves you!
Yep, most consider it as the leftovers, what is around but those are in fact the true center of our lives :) A nice a sometime absurd inversion isn't it ? Yeah, here too I saw some blooming and they're already gone or so... That's kind of strange, but I think it's not a mistake if they grow well in Holland ^^ !
Nice, we were synchro :) What was the menu ?
No, I won't forget it anymore hehe ! Here there is some rain as well, I'm enjoying the warm interior before a little wet outing ☔
Take care dear @dswigle ✌️😘
The menu: Miso soup, pork fried rice (so Chinese), raw salad, miso pork, Kakitamajiru Two soups because one wanted miso soup... and something else. It was an eclectic mix of foods tonight. It is one of the easiest ways to use odd pieces, mix, and match! We like to cook different cuisines on the same night~ LOL I know, I am such a mess! I hope your weekend is going well @anttn :)
Wow ! This is really beautiful @dswigle :) Love the way you organized everything 😍
This weekend went even better than expected and I wish the same for you 🤞
I thank you a lot for the support and very nice comment, I let a bit of time and delay as I use to, not voluntary though ^^ see you there !
The stained glass window should also be tulips. 😎
Out for lunch today and pick up a shopping item which was not the best purchase.

You're welcome.
Cannot complain when I sort of paid only a dollar for lunch.

You're welcome, @dswigle! Keep up the great work, and have a fantastic weekend as well!
It's good to see you had a great experience during the Easter alongside your family, it's always an avenue for family bounding and reminiscing on our believe and I'm glad you make good use of the season.
Below is a link to my post this week
https://peakd.com/hive-196308/@vickoly/market-friday-visit-a-neighborhood-market
It really has been a nice Easter week. The family loves having a nice holiday and getting together with more people, and neighbors. It has been a great time to celebrate our beliefs.
Thank you so much for stopping by and dropping your link!

amazing tulips!!! I love this farm of yours. they have wonderful flowers and so many of them!!!! you bought very beautiful flowers. this year, alas, I will not get to our farms during the flowering of buttercups and peonies. we are now going through a very intensive training for two whole months.
https://ecency.com/hive-196308/@tali72/preparing-for-intensive-training
Thank you @tali72! I am sad you will not get to your flower farm this year, and for me, the year is cut short because the weather is so hot (32C) for this time of year and has made them bloom before their time. I think it ends on Monday or possibly Tuesday!
You will miss the buttercups and peonies?? My peonies are budding now! I have to read your post and find out about the intensive training!!
Thanks for stopping by and leaving your words.

and in Israel, on the contrary, the spring is colder than usual. Yes, the weather is changing, alas. this year I need to look for other pleasures instead of blooming flowers. It's great that the flowers are blooming despite the weather. it's so wonderful that your peonies are blooming!!!! Now I don't have the opportunity to visit the platform often. training is in full swing. have a good week, dear!
Another wonderful and colorful post!
Yes, our Easter Sunday also started with a church service. But then all of us went down to a small, quiet beach for a while before returning home.
I think you have done great by buying the season ticket. Looking at the value you can get from it, you can really get great value for money! That is being "money-wise" in my opinion. Well done!
You will find my post for this week here.
Because I use it almost every single day, it has paid off for me! I agree! Plus the sunflowers in July/August for 6 weeks, where you get three flowers a day. How can you not love that if you are a flower lover? Plus, it helps our local economy, keeping another farmer solvent.

Thank you! I do love the tulips at this time of year! It just spells spring to me. My entire family has wooden shoes and we have always used them in the garden, the shoes are comfortable and it is easy to keep them clean. They wash up in a flash.
Happy #MarketFriday @silversaver888 !!❤️ I hope you are having a splendid day! Thank you to supporting the challenge!

I had a pair wooden shoes given to me by my Dad when I was a freshman in college. I don't remember what happened to it! It makes a lot of noise, but I do love walking around with it!!!
I love #marketfriday and you ❤️ !

@silversaver888 Thank you for the tip!
They do make a lot of noise, especially on a sidewalk, but, mine are worn in the garden. They are a real hit! My neighbors thought I was Dutch, but, I told them I was just a tad crazy. :)
Thank you for sharing that memory! 💙

Hahaha... you must be a fun neighbor!
They probably hear a lot of it when you are walking... and say... "There she goes again!, What is she doing now?"
Hehehe!!!
Thank Goodness. I don't walk in my wooden shoes, only garden. :) All of my kids loved them and wore them. :) I'm glad to see you back, i know you had a wonderful time.

I am happy to hear that your Easter was happy. We also celebrated, but not in this way. The last time I colored Easter eggs was approximately 20 years ago (in my child age).
My favorite color is blue. But blue tulips do not exist naturally. Of course I like red, purple (and any other) tulips too.
Have a nice day and have a nice weekend.
All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.
I did have a nice Easter and I am so glad you did too. You were with your brother and that is what is important. I still like coloring Easter eggs. :)
To be honest, I love blue too, although blue in nature is a tough one. There are some blue flowers, but I think they are shades of what is perceived as blue. Now I will have to look that up. :)
Thank you for your wishes and I truly hope you have a great weekend too. I am getting excited for you as you look to make your e3xit from Hungary and start a new life in Tenerife! Soon! It is coming soon!
Thanks for stopping by and leaving your words.

Very beautiful. I am still waiting for my daffodils to come out. It's still just a bundle of green right now. We have had a run of 80 degree days though, so I have a feeling it might not be too long now. Of course they are calling for snow again this weekend, so who knows!
I bet they will pop in short order! There are only so many warm days they can take before they give in. I am a little disappointed that we got so warm, so quickly. It ruined all my dogwood blooms, and magnolia and many of the irises are blooming out of order.
Le sigh.
The mixed-up winter/spring is confusing the flowers and trees. Maybe it will calm down for the summer months.
Are you serious? Snow?? See, that is what was happening to us! Instead of snow, it was cold temperatures! I hope there is no snow in your future.
Snow?
Really?
Thanks for stopping by!

@ericvancewalton and I were talking about the same thing the other day. How we don't really feel like we got that ease into Spring like we should. It was just boom it's here, then boom it's gone again!
That is exactly what it has been like for the last two years. i feel cheated! Spring used to be such a wonderful time of year and we got all sorts of hints that it was coming before it actually got here. It was like taking the long way home, enjoying every moment of it.
Of late, it has been like taking a bullet train to Tokyo.
Maybe next year.
Oh yeah, I also forgot to mention:

Yes, that! And toes. You know. Every little bit helps.
Happy Friday @dswigle . I wouldn't be tired looling at tulips because it's one of my favorites. I even want to have one at home. But $75 pass fee was quite expensive for me. For sure, it was worth it...
I visited a flower show here and the entrance fee was only HK$15 😊.. ! Here is another tulip photo taken from the show.
About the red color painting on eggs every easter, I somehow heard about it back in the day.

Your picture is beautiful! You have a good eye! That is a true bargain for a flower show! The $75.00 is expensive, but given in it for almost a month you gain entry and get five tulips each time, which can be every day, all of your selection... plus a six-week time frame that has sunflowers, every day three sunflowers. It is a good price, even if it is expensive. (I won't say it is cheap, only worth it)
Usually, it is gifted to me, but I didn't want anyone to spend so much money, so I bought it before anyone could. :)
Yes, the red eggs are a long-ago tradition, so I have no doubt that you have heard about it more than once. 😀
Thank you so much for stopping by an leaving your words and link behind! Have a wonderful weekend!

I enjoyed your photos.
I especially like the one that has the red and yellow tulips with the painted houses in the background and the stained glass flower panel.
They sure did help bright the easter table. My Sis had taken Mom some from the local flower farm. They were yellow pink, purple and white, perfect colors for the easter table.
Sounds awesome! I wish we had a flower farm like that! I could have flower bouquets all summer long! I am so spoiled. I know, but honestly, I get so much joy out of them .
Doesn't that count for something?
They do make the table look pretty, thank you! Yellow, pink, purple and white. The colors of Easter! I'll bet they were beautiful! I hope your week ended on a good note and you are doing something fun this weekend. We are expecting thunderstorms tomorrow. So I may have a day at home.

Beautiful flowers @dswigle, a lot of my friends are orthodox christians, we had some egg cracking tradition in our childhood, I guess I missed that part of saying:He is risen, while cracking eggs. As a kid I thought it was just an egg fight😅. But it now makes sense.

I love tulips. We don't have any fields around our house unfortunately and our tulips haven't come up yet here in Canada. We just started seeing daffodils this week though so the tulips should be next. We got a crazy hot spell this week. It went from 8°C to 28°C in like two-three days so everything is coming alive.
Yes!! We started getting hot in February! We had daffodils popping then, That is for the second year in a row that it has been so early like that! I can remember Spring really happening at the end of April into May. We have already had many days at 32C That is crazy!
I bet yours take a fast track to Bloomsville with those temps. I am still in love with your backyard and this week, I looked for those same flowers because I love the look and the purpose. So, thanks for posting them. :)
I didn't know this tulip farm was here until I Googled it. Surprise! I was. Take some beautiful pictures of Canada. We both miss Europe, but, I have to say, Canada has incredible scenery!

Beautiful flower farm! Finally a subscription service I like 😁 I'm a bit of a curmudgeon when it comes to subscription services but thats another post for another day. I like the yellow tulips. I'm kind of a traditionalist and like the solid colors. Or maybe I just love daffodils lol I've never visited a flower farm but would really love it. Have a great Friday!
Isn't it cool? I agree! I am not a huge fan of subscriptions, but, this one, Yes, please! The yellow tulips are majestic, they really are big and tall, and last the longest too!
You picked well!

Still not a bad deal :) ... With all of the flowers you grow, why do you have to buy cut ones???
This post has been manually curated by the VYB curation project
It is true, I do have many flowers, but, tulip bulbs are different than the many flowers I grow. Tulips are one of the first Spring flowers to bloom and there is usually nothing else flowering at that time.
Besides the fact that I have another house with more than a few acres, so when I get extra of anything or split a plant, the other part of it goes out there.
Now I see what you really wrote! Why do I buy cut ones? I live in the Washington, DC area. We are not quite into cutting flowers yet, it is too early.
I wanted flowers for my Easter table and I happen to love flowers, love giving flowers, and love supporting the local economy even more. :) For all those reasons.
Thank you for the curation! Have an amazing day!

Hello, @kaminchan !!
I like how pink and yellow stand out. You actually could grow them, but, even if you did, they wouldn't last very long and the care would be a nightmare! Definitely not worth it.
Not edible! Poisoon to dogs and cats.

Last year my brother started working for a new tulip farm in CT. I'm wondering if they have the same program. Tulips don't do well here by and large. I've pretty much given up planting them as stick to the other bulbs that do well.
So I very much enjoyed your post filled with so much color and variety.
I'm from Connecticut! Is he at the one in Preston (or maybe it is Exeter) Unless it has changed, it is a daily ticket but also comes with ten stems instead of the 5 mine offers. They will be closing early (only being open half of their normal time) as we have had two heat waves during their ten days open. Ninety degrees is a killer! The tulips are late and the heat is early.
Le sigh.
I am with you. Stick to what works. I am so glad you like the post! Thank you! Have a great rest of the weekend!
#MarketFriday loves you!
Preston. Yeah my tulips are racing along here and the daffy got fried with the 90F temps last week.
Oh! Sorry to hear that! Ours are frying now. That 150 acres of tulips are clising tomorrow, almost 2 weeks early. The heat was too much.
I like Preston. I hope they are nice to work for.
So far he seems happy working for them.
The tulip festival here has been delayed because of cool rainy weather. Have a couple tiny ones in my front yard but overall not great. However, the tulip trees are in bloom (if you check my actifit report) and so are the cherry blossoms, horray!
And my Market Friday report was scheduled and reported on time. One more learning thing off my to do list.
https://www.ecency.com/hive-196308/@terganftp/using-apps-to-beat-the
Our Tulip Festival is going to end early because of several heat waves in the last ten days. Too bad, I went this morning and picked a dozen more flowers, but, I can see that the ones just coming out of the ground are shooting up much too quickly. They don't grow well in the heat at all. in the last few days, it has been 29C to 31C and they just pop out, bloom and die.
Le sigh.
The tulip trees, redbuds, dogwoods, magnolias - they have all been sharing their beauty. Another weird spring for the books. Too much, too soon, and then winter finally came, for a day or three. My cherry blossoms are just coming to an end. The late bloomers, the early ones are gone, gone, gone. Enjoy your spring beauty!
I thought you were a newbie, but, I see you have actually been here since 2021. Of course, I didn't check it all out, so I am not sure how much you were here. :) Thank you for stopping by and leaving your words, and dropping your link!
Have an amazing weekend!
#MaarketFriday loves you!
Thanks for the reply. I was thinking of you when I was making my actifit report about the local tulips. They are pretty sad here
https://www.ecency.com/@terganftp/posts <-- in case you are curious.
As for being a newbie. That a bit of a funny story. I'm probably the oldest new user you will ever meet. I know you are busy but I'll share a little story. Way back in 2015 I got into cryptocurrency mining Monero on my cellphone. At the time it was worth about 50 cents per coin. I mined 4 coins and sold them in mid 2016 for $10. I've been hooked on crypto ever since.
In mid 2016 I hear of a new project where you got paid for writing posts called STEEM. I signed up (pain in the butt), wrote an intro post, figured it was going to be too much work and left. IF I kept that account or could even find it again I'd probably be one of the oldest users on the chain.
Then in Nov 2020 I found about a game you could play for crypto, cool, I was in. Except Axie Infinity sucked. But then I read about a different card game you could play for crypto. I tried Splinterlands and while it was still early development I joined in. I've been there ever since.
A while later I wanted to make an account where I could show others how to start with Splinterlands from nothing and terganftp was created. However, it was a pain to start from nothing so I abandoned the project.
Then I found Actifit and reactivated the account to show others how Hive could be used to start from nothing and make something. Except Actifit isn't where the real Hive action is...so a month or so ago I decided to branch out into the main Hive ecosystem.
For me, its terrifying.
....so far out of my comfort zone
So, thank you for being a kind ear to listen.
As a side note. I know its tradition to make a new user post. I know the expiry date on that is long past according to my start date...but I also feel like a new user who should post one. Any thoughts on that?
Thanks for listening
Let me just say that you are not the only one that stopped and started - and stopped and started. It never gets easier, to say the least. I work harder now than I ever did when I first started and I never believed I would understand it. :)
OK, not saying I still do.LOL
I don't want to be tied to actifit because I already do a fitness thing and for me, I don't want to have to post one every day. Splinterlands? Not a gamer, although it would be fun if I was.
Don't worry, it is out of many people's comfort zone. You don't have to be perfect, just jump in. Read the
rulesguidelines first. :) I get too many (as you can see) and they don't always show up, they get lost in space, so I like to have everyone drop their links. Sounds silly, but it works. I don't depend on the upvotes from my people that post to support the tag, so I work a little harder to make it work.It is a tradition to make a new user post. I never did, but, when I joined in 2017, there was no guidance. It is so much better now. You should do a post, you haven't, so nobody knows your story. Post it into introduceyourself and properly tag it... I would also put introduceyourself as the first tag and go for it!
Thank you for dropping the link!
Have a fabulous week ahead!
Have a great rest of your weekend!

Tulips season now? Ohhh I have completely forgotten about it for this week. I knew about it last week but it went off my mind this week as some circumstances happened that I had to not mind other things. Aaargh the tulips farm I wanted to go to surely has a lot of tulips like the ones in your photos. But I’m so busy this week and already planned how to spend my day off, so huhu I’ll just enjoy the tulips in your post.
They’re so lovely! I like the yellow ones the most, although yellow isn’t really a favorite color but when Insee yellow tulips, it just brightens my day.
So surprising to see a wooden shoe over there. It looks like crocs 😅
Happy market friday! Here’s mine for this week: https://peakd.com/hive-196308/@wittyzell/let-me-in-the-blackpink-popup-shop-at-shibuya
Oh, yes! I hear you! The old-time crunch! It gets me, every week! I am happy to share my tulip farm with you! I have to be honest though. I am not a yellow person, but, the yellow tulips just sing their song to me! I have another that stands tall and very sturdy - that is peach and yellow. They have been amazing!!!
I still have my wooden shoes from living over there. My kids do too. They used to call them the clacker kids. LOL That is the sound they made when they walked.
