I totally agree with you. My want to live out further from the city has more to do with it being Washington, DC and many angry people descend on the city when life upsets them. I no longer want to be in the heart of it all. I want my family to live in safety, which can be taken from me in the blink of an eye. I realize this. I agree with your grandmother, you shouldn't have to fight that hard for a piece of real estate to be yours. (if you are buying it) If it is meant to be your destiny, it will happen. It wasn't meant to happen.
Not having time for an inspection? That is a definite NO. Every time. My father taught me better than that!
I do not have to leave my home here and I do love it, but, the area is also starting to grow even more and in thirty years, I don't want to have to fight the traffic. Better to make a life in a quieter place, far and away from the city. (Of course that could mean 5 miles!) As we age, we need more medical than when we are younger. You are not old and look! You needed medical. Easier from a more populated area. I feel the same, so I usually check medical and basic needs shopping first, because I am not interested in an area where just living will be a struggle. I agree with Mom! You don't think about medical until you need it. I will tell you the truth, after the first day of looking at the house, I came back to my home and at 5 am the next morning, an ambulance stopped in front of my neighbor's house. They are perhaps 30 or 35 years old. Their dad was visiting, He was 54 and was in distress. Yikes! If that was me, out in the middle of nowhere, what would I have done? That right there made me sit up and take notice.
Anyway, I have gone on and on! Thanks so much for stopping by @zirochka! I hope you are doing better and Nick is too! ❤️

In fact, it's very difficult to find a balance between the advantages of a big city and the need for peace and personal space. Even if it succeeds, who can guarantee what it will be like in 20 years? 😒
Yesterday I watched how my hometown changed and keep changing. The smallest pieces of land are built up with high-rise buildings. I did not see new hospitals, or parks, or schools, theaters, only flat-blocks, like beehives, right above the roads, even without parking lots. It's too sad to imagine how it will look like in next 5 years.
But I wish you with all.my heart to find this balance, and your own perfect place for new home, because I know how important it can be.
Hugs and !luv

That makes me sad, reading that. I know it's true. Nothing is guaranteed in life. I will find the balance, thankfully, I am in no rush.
I wish you to find the balance, when the time is right. XO
Live to you.
