RE: Market Friday again in Padanaram Village

in Market Friday3 years ago

This is the best kind of #MarketFriday for this soul! I scroll and scroll the buildings that make up the city of Dartmouth. I love the little wooden shingles that were used to safeguard houses on the New England coast. While shingles were originally used for their weather-withstanding properties, they remained popular and have become somewhat of a tradition. Every time, I think of home, those shingles come to mind.

You might want to change the name of the hair place to KNOT instead of KNOW. It took me a minute or two to figure it out. :)

You truly show off the best of it all and I want to thank you for your stellar #MarketFriday posts! They are always such a gift to me. I appreciate it. Thank you for participating in #MarketFriday! I appreciate the time and effort that goes into putting a post together for the challenge. It is with great pleasure that I read through and realize how much we have all tried to include things in our world that may be unique to the area. I have learned so much about the different cultures of the world, especially the small things that go unnoticed except by those looking for them. Life is interesting, wherever you are, whatever you are doing. I hope the week has found you healthy and happy, as we all look to prosper in our way of life.

Oops me and my typos, thanks for pointing it out its fixed now,

This little village has such a charm to it, almost a back to a more relaxed time feel to it :)
I love those wooden Shingles even thought I had a brainfade and could not thing of the name for them when preparing the post lOL

They are called shake shingles and many places still swear by them. I know my parent's house had them, and almost all the houses on the water did. I can understand that. If it ain't fixed...

You know I am the queen of typos!

Ok I didn’t know that name for them
A few places here have lots of them and yes generally by the water

Maybe it is a different name that you are thinking.
