RE: Market Friday - Christmas Tree in Rockefeller Center, NYC

in Market Friday3 years ago

I am so pleased to have you post into the #MarketFriday challenge. I know this is an especially busy time of year, so I am pleased that you took the time. To be honest with you, it touches my heart that it has continued for so long, and yet, almost every single person gives me something fresh and interesting. Many people really thought it would run its course of markets and end, but, everyone that participates has proven this theory wrong. With Christmas just past and New Year upon us, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you so much for helping make this challenge a success. Without your help, it would be just another place to post. It is people like you that have given it a recognizable name. Thank you! ❤

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers markets and eventually branching out and evolving over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact of what is these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Following me and reblogging the post so more see it would be appreciated !! Not a rule, just appreciated, more vision for more views on your posts!
  2. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post. If you don't and someone reads it, there is nothing to tie #MarketFriday to that post.

Thank you so much my lovely. I’m answering late because we all got sick after that trip to see the tree, tested positive for Omicron, including the baby. We didn’t even get in the crowds and we drove our car. Go figure! Thank God we had mild symptoms, recovering now. Always a pleasure to post #marketfriday community and to read other posts, everything is so interesting. 🥰

I am so sorry to hear that! Everybody feels like they are overstating the rate at which it is exploding, however I have to admit that I would rather see that then the more aggressive covid-19. Still I am sorry that you got ill, but hope that you had a good time!

My sister-in-law got covid when she was on her way home from my house. We had a funeral here at Arlington Cemetery which she and my brother came for. On her way home, not sure what she did oh, but she got covid and nobody else did. The only people she was there with us and none of us got sick. Go figure right? So glad to hear that all is well with you again.

Hmmm that’s very crazy. We had to park the car and we used valet parking, so I think that man who parked our car was infected, there is no other explanation, all 4 of us to get sick like that? Anyways, we’re ok, hopefully your sister-in-law got a mild one too. The times we’re living! Ughhh

No she got violently ill oh, but this was last year. She's still not 100% even after 5 months. It's a slow process with the covid-19. I am sure that you are right about where you got it from. She had to have gotten it from gas station or a coffee place that you stopped at. If you stop anywhere between there and home it's a possibility. I am so sorry that all of you got sick and I am so glad that you are better. Yes! The times!
