What is your preferred store for buying things for your house?
I just got a new cabinet and I can't wait to buy items for my wardrobe. The first shop that immediately came to mind was IKEA, but I don't like going to the Mall of Asia (MOA), which is where IKEA is located, due to the frustrating traffic and overwhelming crowds. Online shopping is not an option for me either because I want to physically inspect the items before I buy them.
I was gonna visit the newly opened Muji nearby, but then I remembered there's another store in Mitsukoshi Mall in BGC that sells furniture and home stuff I haven't checked out yet.
At Mitsukoshi Mall in BGC, which is referred to as a 'Japanese mall', I found the first Nitori store in the Philippines. Just so you know, Nitori, a Japanese furniture and home accessories store is on the third level of Mitsukoshi and occupies the entire third floor, so getting lost is out of the question.
Similar to a regular home essentials store, they provide products for various areas such as the living room, bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, dining, and even pet supplies. I was so close to buying one more bed for my pet 😆And the best part, they're pet friendly! I always ensure that the places I visit are pet friendly ever since I got my two dogs, so I can bring them along. While I was in the store, I saw four dogs in strollers! Super cute!
The splatter guard was the first item I looked for inside the store. It's great for keeping oil from splashing while cooking. It's difficult to say if this one is inexpensive or not, as the one we had at home was bought by my mom.
Along with everything else, I have been trying to find an oil pot that also has a strainer for convenience. I wasn't impressed with the ones I saw on Shopee. It's a good thing they have it here at Nitori as well.
As I was browsing through the items, I happened to come across a fresh keeper storage specifically designed to keep fruits fresh for longer periods of time. Fruits are a must-have every time we go grocery shopping so this one's a must. This one's a steal!
I happened to walk by the mirror aisle and it made me remember that I need a full-length mirror.
And the main reason why I'm here? Hangers! I need to find some sturdy ones for my wardrobe. In order to properly organize my new cabinet, I need wardrobe organizers and hangers. There is a wide selection of hangers available for you to choose from. As someone who struggles with making decisions, it made things even more difficult for me 😅
Before I go, I stopped by the furniture section. This one's a steal - a dining table complete with 2 chairs and a bench, all for the amazing price of Php 13,990! Unfortunately, I forgot to capture the entire table in my photo. This picture was supposed to serve as a reference for a project.
In terms of price, the goods are affordable and offer the same quality as those found in Muji and IKEA. What made my heart (and wallet) happy is that there are a lot of items priced at Php 500 and below!
That's it for my #MarketFriday, an initiative of @dswigle.
Have you been to Nitori? If you still haven't, go and see their store at Mitsukoshi BGC.

I just enjoy browsing around shops, but I don't buy anything. Hahaha! I just like looking around. Hahaha!!! Sometimes I do buy things, like dining ware if I really like how it looks.
Sometimes I do that too! 😄
