The finished cake looked delicious and I must admit very professional. too much sugar is a turn off for me too Denise but I agree there are occasions when the recipe needs to be followed and all the sugar is put in.

Thank you so much and believe me, when I say this oh, it is anything but professional. But I love that you think so. It was fun making and my first try was a little bit more caramel in pools than this time. So I think there's a little bit of a learning curve there for me. Practice makes perfect in I think the third time may be a charms! I am not much of a sugar person oh, it's a matter of fact I don't even have it in my house unless I am cooking. I have just never had a real sweet tooth but occasionally I will find something that tastes good.
I do love the Christmas countdown, more for me than anybody else because it shows me how much time I have to mail out my packages. The ones here in the states are not too bad and nowadays it is not too bad sending it overseas, but there are times when it's hazardous, like last year. I have not really given the season much thinking, but as I say that oh, I live with Christmas in my heart all year long. Now that might be a little scary. I blame it on my elf heritage. LOL
