MUTERRA : DEVELOPMENT LOG - ENTRY 1

Let's talk about what the MuTerra team has been up to since the last update.

And let's also get to know what's to come this month!

CIRCULATION CAP

After many discussions we have finalized the total supply of mutees that you will find in the wild :

Even when the cap is reached the mutees will still be present in the game and the players will be still be able to kill them but capturing them will not be possible thus stopping them from being minted.

The supply of our default tamer, MANAV, has also been capped to 10,000.

Once all 10,000 copies of this tamer have been minted, a new common default tamer will be introduced to replace this card.

MUTEE SPRITE SHEETS

The mutee sprite sheets have been completed and are ready to be deployed in the next major update coming this month.
The following mutees will be present in the maps for you all to fight with :

The battle mechanics for now will be kept very simple where you just have to go near the mutee and press spacebar multiple times to kill it. But beware, you might just end up dying.

TAMER SELECTION UI

The UI to choose a tamer inside the game has been created and is ready to be deployed in the next major update coming this month.

You will find these screens inside the game and all the tamers that you activate using your tamer licenses will be shown here.

If multiple tamers of the same kind are chosen, then you'll be able to select which particular tamer you'd like to play. Please note that stamina functionality will not be included in this update.

SOME OTHER MINOR UPDATES

We have already pushed quite a few minor changes to the website. The most prominent update being the one where you are able to see other player's assets in the inventory section.

Another update worth mentioning is that when the airdrop of our token, MUT, happens, it's current price in USD will be mentioned too. This will make it easier for players to calculate their yearly taxes.

UPCOMING MINOR UPDATES

In the coming days, some minor changes will be visible on the website. One of them being the provision to stake all the MUT in a single click instead of typing the whole amount.

Another noteworthy change would be the proper display of the USD price of MUT every time token airdrop and staking reward is handed out.

Finally, the most awaited change - Market Transaction Bot - will be added to our DISCORD server.

UPCOMING MAJOR UPDATES FOR THIS MONTH

The biggest update that we will be releasing is the utility of Tamer License. Players will be able to use their tamer license on any tamer they wish to play MuTerra with. This will also mean that only those who have a tamer license will be able to explore the maps of MuTerra.

2 new maps will be added to the game in the up-coming update and you won't be able to explore them if you don't have a tamer license! So make sure you BUY a TAMER LICENSE. This will also trigger new dialogues of NPCs inside the game.

Sprite sheets of all the tamers are being created side-by-side. So your avatar will change depending upon which tamer you choose to play with.

Keeping in mind that all these changes don't have any negative impact on User Experience, we will be over-hauling the current Market and Inventory section of our site.

We have also taken into account the various suggestions given by our beloved community members and almost all of them are being implemented. Adding a tutorial in the game being one of them.

Finally, here's a sneak-peek of some Mangrove Trees that you'll be seeing in the new maps!

POSH PETS

POSH PET is a generative NFT collection in which MuTerra has decided to take part in. You can read about it in detail in @acidyo's post on POSH PETS.

The reason why we have decided to take part in this is 2 folds :

1. This can serve as free marketing for MuTerra.
2. The funds raised by POSH PETS will all go towards @poshtoken which helps in hive discoverability and promotion. This is in sync with our aim as well where we want HIVE blockchain to thrive.

We have already submitted MuTerra's POSH PET but were asked not to reveal it in this post because it's a Surprise! So do keep an eye out for it!
