RE: Healing Healing Self Healing

I have always seen it as quite an American thing but now that I think about it. I hear that word way more often than I realised.. and yes, normally on someones Instagram or TikTok Post.

I guess you have it all covered in your post, so really im just reiterating when I say... A lot of people find it best to Heal if they travel and therefore remove themselves from a situation or surrounding. There is also the potential that in todays world, people are more in need of that sort of 'healing'.. Take Facebook for example... Not so long ago if you and your partner separated then you would likely not hear from them or about them for a considerable amount of time. Nowadays you can't escape them, what with the images and videos of their new, sans you, life being posted everywhere for all to see.

So perhaps, this new generation needs the new short and simple version of healing?

What makes no sense to me is people posting to say that they are healing.. If you want to get over something, it seems strange that you would post about it on social media.

You are right in many ways.. the older generation just managed to sort of get on with things. Whereas nowadays people seem to need validation that they are 'healing' correctly

Anyway, It was a very thought provoking post, Proven by my waffling in the comments 😄

I thought the same thing too, self-healing through traveling was quite an American/European thing. Eastern culture is catching up to it just in a much slower rate and yeah, maybe this newer generation needed that short healing just like how everything is short to them? short content, short words, short songs and melodies haha.

What makes no sense to me is people posting to say that they are healing.. If you want to get over something, it seems strange that you would post about it on social media.

That's the point! I don't get it when they are healing but posting every seconds of it online. It's quite a narcissism than healing and more about Me Me Me culture.

Happy to see you checking out my post! I started getting into this type of post again because the wifi reception is pretty bad where I am staying, so I have more time to think than being online :D
