It seems like Niccolò Machiavelli is everyone's mentor in all the wrong ways. And second, it kept repeating itself, sadly this time again.

So, you are that one kid who was part of the org but was more interested in acad. Hahaha. I was the opposite. "The Prince" was like one of the basics if you are into campus politics and/or journalism.

The last 22 hours have been disheartening.

To be honest, I felt the same, but this isn't my first time on the block. I've been disappointed election after election after election. You will learn to live with it. So, in a way, I wasn't really surprised by the outcome. I felt optimistic that this could have been the one where we grew as a nation, and showed political maturity, but, not yet as evidenced by the results. So, again, back to the drawing boards.

Well, I guess I have 6 years to figure that out.

There's plenty of things to do while waiting. Six years is a really long time to be more vigilant about fake news, misinformation, disinformation, revisionism, etc. What we can do is the opposite: to sow the seeds of truth, to fact-check, to be more vocal about who the best and the brightest leaders are, to create a strong social media presence that can counteract what they've done.

All is not lost, it is not just a sea of volunteers that we witnessed but a budding social movement, and more importantly, we are the writers of the next chapters in our nation's history so this is not yet the end of the story for us. Cheers! ✊

    Yup, that's me! The kid who ended up collecting membership dues and making sure the org had funds 'coz that's the safest place to be while maintaining acads and serving the people pa rin hehe 3 years din yun! Takot na takot akong tumakbo dati kahit alam kong kaya ko naman. Baka pagalitan ako ng Mama ko haha Acads is life kasi si mother😅

    Parents always want the best for us; I understand your mother. Nanay for the win! 😊 Sa pag-usad pasulong ng panahon ay unti-unti rin umuusbong ang tama at katotohanan. Mabagal at makupad man marahil dahil sa mabigat ang dinadalang pasanin. Sa dulo ay darating rin ang panahon na aanihin ng lahat ang lahat ng itinanim.
