RE: Gauging the Impact of Your Content

Interesting rant. I might just read it sometime. lol.

Seriously though, my belief is that people do appreciate being upvoted. Voting without reading is another story, but that mechanism is available for a reason. Because HIVE is also a cryptocurrency, maybe a bank 2.0, there is also that economic aspect of rewards. Before the blockchain, we just blogged for fun (kicks and giggles, say you.), and it became a drag to write something up to be able to upload. So, rewards can be a motivation to continue blogging - shitposting to some but gems to others.

My point is that everyone is different. And people's likes/dislikes can fall on opposite ends of a stick. And unless it is clearly a case of plagiarism, then I wouldn't be downvoting it. zzz...

Good points here. It's a financial incentive to spread our votes around and we can't possibly have the attention span to interact with every post we are voting on so we have to balance what we do interact with. I try to visit friends accounts once a week to drop a comment on their posts but it doesn't always work. Life gets in the way so we do what we can.

So true. Well, that's right. We just do what we can, with the time that we have, and hope for life to bless us with the best things that money can't buy. But, we also have to do our part. Work, work, work... :)
