Your post title caught my attention since I can relate to the 'hate'. Well, like you I don't hate my birthday, but to me it isn't a special day. I don't throw parties, I never did and I never will. When I started working for an international company, I always tried to be in some other country for business, instead of at home where friends usually came to my door without letting me know. Sure, very nice of them to do so, but I simply don't want my birthday to be a 'special' day.

Anyways...

I do hope you find comfort in all your birthdays to come. Perhaps just skip the idea of that day to be anything special for you? Maybe that give you some more releive?
