I think the trouble here also is it’s a bit of the friends fault for not asking if things are okay. If someone is sleeping at your place more than once you should ask them what’s up. I’ve never slept at my friends house but if I did I know he would’ve asked me if everything was cool or if I needed help.

This is true also, and often times people tends to put responsibility on people especially when it involves friendship. Sometimes it is very hard to ask just so you don't make them feal bad....
