We all know life isn't fair, and we also have all experienced how tough it can get sometimes; no matter how strong we believe there will come a time when it's going to stop being tough, it won't.

The Delayed Living Syndrome describes a mindset where we are waiting for the perfect moment or condition before we can start living fully. It's when a student constructs all their plans on what they'll do "after" graduation, or a graduate "after" he lands a job. A single person saying I'll only be happy when I get married or a million other examples of this mindset where we mentally put our lives on hold till an external event happens.

Long story short, we all dream of the day everything works for us so that we can live happily ever after, the only problem is; this day never comes.

Life will never stop throwing obstacles in your way, it's not getting any easier, you have to learn to overcome and sometimes dodge these obstacles, in other way life will continue to be tough, so your best option is to toughen up.

Every period of your life has its own challenges, it's like sometimes you have the time but not the money, and other times you have the money but have no time! You fix your social life and your professional life is ruined. You get a good position but never get to laugh like the good old days. That's how life is, and that's not really a problem.

Life is a game; learn its rules. One of the rules is: it's never going to be whole or complete. So, you might accept it as it is. Sometimes you lose and learn, other times you win and celebrate.

You probably know this story of the king who wanted a phrase that would remind him his power won't last forever when he's at his highest but also console in times of sorrow. The wise man presented him a ring with inscription that read, "this too shall pass"

Good and bad times pass, neither happiness nor sorrow lasts forever. Do your best to feel not necessarily happy but content throughout your lifetime, and incase you forget; the perfect moment will never come, so you might as well never wait for it, and start now!

This is something I’ve had to try and convince my wife of many times. We shouldn’t try to wait for the perfect moment for many things - life is short and we may not have a chance for something again! It doesn’t work but I’m hoping one day it will.

Exactly, if you keep waiting for the perfect moment you'll wait for a lifetime. You have a chance today because you're alive so do with your life what you wish!
