Self Acceptance VS Self Improvement | Which One Leads to an AMAZING Life?

in DTube2 years ago

You've probably heard the advice that you should always love yourself. You likely also heard the advice that you should always be improving as a person.

So, which one is it?

Self Acceptance or Personal growth?
Which of these leads to a happy and fulfilling life?

On one hand, loving yourself unconditionally is great because you'll feel amazing in your own skin. It prevents you from feeling and coming across as needy or desperate because you don't need the approval to feel happy and fulfilled.

On the other hand, self love and self acceptance might become a problem.

A lot of the self love content is about how it's perfectly fine when you don't do the things that help you achieve your goals and advance your life.

Now, for personal growth:

There is also a group of people in personal development that say that you should always strive to get better. The obvious benefit of continuous self improvement is that you develop more self mastery, competence and grow to be the person you aspire to be.

The downside?

The danger of this kind of growth mindset is that if you tell yourself that you need to get better, wouldn't that mean that you're not good enough right this moment?

And so, which one do you need for a happy & fulfilling life?

Watch the video to get the answer to that question and then give it a thumbs up! Greatly appreciate it!
