That was unjustified even with the previous scuffle. You don't shoot someone in the back when they are fleeing.
There was no need to even chase him down they already had his info and could have just gone and picked him up later.
I didn't see any "shooting back or attempts at shooting back" but since the CENSORS have now removed the video I cannot verify that.
If he was actively trying to shoot back thats a different story but you are NOT JUSTIFIED to shoot anyone in the back when they are fleeing (my interpretation of what I saw in the video) and call that self defense.
Since we can't discuss the video anymore because it's gone..

Rayshard Brooks chose to attack the cops after being told he was under arrest. The man was passed out in his running car at the Wendy's drive-thru. Mr. Brooks was a threat to hi.self and those around him.
The cops (of whom I give no quarter) were absolutely professional, mild mannered, until Me. Brooks knew he was going to jail. Sh what does Mr. Brooks do? He chooses to attack the cops, grabs one of their tasers, shots one with it, then attempts to shoot at the cops whole trying to get away...the shooting was justified...period...end of story.
Can the shooting just stop? None of us were there of course to say what was going on in their minds but enough killing people already. This will just further increase tensions but is that the goal of all this hyper-sensitivity? So we make rash decisions like abolishing a police force?
Disarm the police!
They brought deadly force to the scene, not the victim.
Pigs can't be trusted with more power than the people.
They could've helped that guy rather than harm him with even more punishment for being a screw up.

Why shoot him when he can not run far to be arrested?
Clearly they not trained if one average looking dude can best two cops
