Hello 🐝lovely🐝bees🐝! It’s Tuesday 9th June 2020!!
This week some of my posts were targeted by the anti-HIVE-SBI downvoting trail. I am used to getting a downvote from these guys once a week and I suck it up because I believe that HIVE-SBI helps the smaller users get established (it helped me) and find their feet on HIVE (we can’t all launch straight in and be supercreators or curators straight away. Sometimes it takes a while to get the hang of HIVE and how it works. You should nurture people).
This time it was different though. They targeted my zapfic post. 60% of the author rewards were going to winners of last weeks contest (and a further 10% were going to peakd).
As you can see from the folllowing two screenshots the downvotes are significantly higher than the SBI upvotes.
It made me wonder was it worth carrying on with HIVE-SBI.
Don’t get me wrong: I won’t be bullied.
But I don’t want my prizes to be worthless either. I run (and have always run) Zapfic at a loss (I NEVER make as much HIVE as I give away). For me the decision isn’t about how it impacts me. It is about how it affects the people who enter my contest.

Shortly afterwards I came across this post by @cryptoandcoffee. It seems the issue has been noticed.

This problem is not new. It has been going on on Steem for a long time. And it got worse when we came over to HIVE.

I will be watching this situation carefully and take things into account when making my decision about what the prizes should be for Zapfic.

Today I will be painting the bathroom of one of the guest rooms.
I have been to the artisanal shop and taken some photos and made another little video to try to publicise it

Lets hope things can settle down and get back to normal.
The problem is, for a lot of smaller accounts, this downvoting behaviour has been normal...
I see that and that is why it is unacceptable. This place is for everyone big and small and people should all be treated the same. Just grow as fast as you can and if you have issues you can always give me a shout.

Thank you! Yes, I worry that the downvotes are aimed at people who don't earn much anyway. It is not a way to grow the platform
