It is often said that those who doesn't change to the changing circumstances soon becomes mentally had-been. While this is true for most of the life situations, it's applicability remains questionable for the music world.
Musics lives through ages and that's like the greatest assets musics have. However, you can't deny the fact that there are thousands of good musicians entering the music industry almost on a daily basis and coming up with some wonderful piece of melodious renditions.
But, rather than creating an entirely new playlists, I rather prefer adding to the list I already have. Musics are so wonderful that you might pick a song from the 90's and it'll resonate in you wonderfully well even today and as someone who listens to songs based on the mood I am at that particular time, it's invaluable to me to keep a diverse collection of music genres that I love.
Having said that, one of the greatest drive to creating a new playlist remains when you're seeking for inspiration or exploring new perspectives and changing playlists is a very excellent way of keeping your soundtracks amazing and interesting....
These are the ways I do mine...
- Discovering New Artist:
It's all thanks to the technological advancements that help us to easily discover new artists.
Picture Is Mine
For me, I personally use the Shazam App. This is an app that easily gives me the details of any song I hear someone playing. I literally don't need to do anything, just turn on my data and enter the app and it'll give me full details of that song; the album name, the lyrics and links to download the song or to stream it based on my preference.
It has also become easier with the help of many other music applications like Spotify, SoundClouds and so on to explore the songs of your favourite artists and songs of same genre like that of them.
- Arranging Playlists:
The musics we listen to are to great extent the reflection of the mood we are in. Categorising our playlists to the different moods and activities makes music easier to access, knowing the playlist to go to for every activity you want to engage in.
- Social Media Following:
Almost, if not all the music artists are active on social media these days. Following them in their official social media handles is a great way to know they are planning on dropping an album or singles.
- Recommendations:
Asking friends who enjoy musics just like you do is a great way of improving your playlist too. Personally, I never discovered Ruth B myself as it was my friend who gave me that suggestion and today she's one of my favourite artist.
Musics will always be great way of self expression with the musical notes speaking where words can't reach. A blend of old and fresh discoveries will produce a playlist so enjoyable to never regret pressing the "play button".
