Good Music, Good Vibes

When this new year started, I made resolutions regarding my personal life and Hive Journey, but I didn't think of making musical goals for the year. Looking back, I don’t think I have ever sat down to include musical goals in my New Year’s resolutions. Well, it wouldn't be bad to try new things. Now that the inleo prompt has brought my attention to it, I decided to take a step back, restrategize, and alter my New Year’s resolutions. Before today, I had written my resolutions in my diary (the most precious book to me,) so I created space for my musical goals for the year.

First off, one of my musical goals for the year is to write at least 3 songs and have @hopestylist sing them. Unlike Hope and many people out there, I wasn't blessed with a nice singing voice. When my creator was distributing singing talent, I was busy exploring heaven and watching anime. Well, what I lack in voice, I make up for in words. Although I have never written a song before because I never thought of this idea until now, I have a way with words. So, I think it'll be easier to come up with something. There are many songwriters out there who don’t have a singing voice. Similarly, there are many singers who don’t know how to write songs and have to rely on song writers. As long as it works for them, it is all fair and good. If the songs are good enough, we’ll post them on our social media statuses, and if not, they’ll remain in our DMs.

Next, learn a musical instrument. I love music and everything that has to do with it. I love hearing people sing and I also love watching people play musical instruments. It pleases my heart. Unfortunately, I don’t know how to play any musical instrument, and neither do I know how to sing. What a cruel world we live in. I’d be graduating from the university in the next 6 months (if the government does not go mad), so I’ll have enough time to learn a musical instrument. There are actually two musical instruments on the list; guitar and piano. Since I already started piano lessons during my high school days, I think I'll go for piano. I hope things go my way.

Lastly, another musical goal for the year is to listen to “good music.” Looking back, throughout last year, most of the songs I listened to were those of Juice Wrld. Of course, I'm not saying Juice Wrld isn't good. He is one of the best. His songs helped me when I was at my lowest point. However, I want to listen to Gospel music more. I actually started this goal last year, but I couldn't keep up with it for long. Asa and Brymo are my favorite Nigerian singers. I can count the number of times I played their music throughout last year. I also plan to listen to their songs more this year. This year is all about good music.

This is my entry to the inleo prompt for day 7. The topic is; do you have any musical goals for this new year?

Thanks for reading.

That's really nice bro and you got a voice which I dont singing is hard for me and I don't know how to change that

Heheeee.. can’t wait for your songs, I am sure Hopey will do justice to them.

Learning an instrument is ideal too.

I can relate to the last one, but I think I have been controlling my type of music for some time now.
