Happy new year to everyone @afritunes community and special thanks to the admins @ksam @obaro @starstrings01 for this initiative which has been awesome sincere inception last year and hereby wishing us a great year ahead. Every new year begins a new season and a fresh start in all endeavors, hence, the need to set goals for a better and productive years. Without clear goals, there won't be clear focus and direction which will affect evaluation of how productive one is at the end of the year. As someone who is into music majorly as an instrumentalist, singer and composer, i have my top 3 music goals for this new year as follows:

• TO BE A SKILLFUL SINGER BY ENGAGING IN VOCAL TRAININGS
I started music as little choir boy and as an instrumentalist (drummer and keyboardist), but right from last year, i see the need to improve more on my singing especially when i joined hive blockchain and the music communities on hive platform. I never know i would have this opportunity, but i started singing and playing my keyboard as entries to weekly contests, competitions last year and it has been getting better. Therefore this year, it's one of my goals to train myself to be a skillful singer by engaging in vocal trainings with resources scattered all over the internet so that by the end of this year 2025, i would have become a better singer. This will be of added advantage to my music career.

• TO PERFECT PLAYING WITH LESS TRANSPOSITION BY SCHEDULED REARSHALS
I learnt how to play the electric keyboard using a particular key and although i learnt and know by personal diligence all other keys, but i have not really put in the effort in rearshing them through. This is one of my set goals this year as this makes for a rounded playing. This shows how skillful one is and also, it helps to play better especially in songs that requires modulation and some transitioning. Infact, there are some pianos without the transpose feature and hence, it is better to learn how to play on the main key without transposition. Also, as someone aspiring to learn more classical music, this will also help and facilitate my learning. Therefore, scheduled rearshals will help achieve this even as i look forward to it.

• TO HAVE AT LEAST 10 COMPOSITIONS
One of the things that i recognized as a gift for me as a musician is spontaneous music composition. I have seen this worked for me over and over even last year in some contests and compositions i featured/participated here on hive platform. It is good to archive this compositions and to give more expressions to them. I remembered during my undergraduate days when one of my indigenous composition was rendered in the school fellowship i attended, it gave me so much delight and I'm grateful for the opportunity. So this year, i look forward to more musical compositions.

The above are my top 3 music goals for the year 2025 which i believed are achievable through consistent and corresponding actions. Thank you for reading as comments and contributions are welcomed.
