Living Organic - No-Till - Supersoil - Post #1

in WeedCash Network5 years ago (edited)

What's going on weedcash? This is an exciting post I am going to bring today.

With all the talk about organics and we all know that this is the true way that anyone should be growing cannabis or vegetables for that matter. I have been doing hours and hours of research on living soil and no-till soil.

When I was doing the research for the living soil I didn't want to use a pre-packed one. To me, that is not much different than using bottled nutes. The reason for that is the fact that it will be designed to break down. You will need to still be adding your own amendments to keep it thriving. @jonyoudyer has made the move to give one of these a try. We will have to wait and see the update coming from him on how this works.

Now when it came to my soil mix I was planning to make my own recipe with some of the other ones I have read. When it came to picking my ingredients I had no interest in using Bone Meal, Blood Meal, Or Any meal that comes from an animal. I have also chosen to also not use bat guano or seabird guano. These are not locally sourced and will becoming from farmed a sourced likely.

When it came to making the recipe I wanted I got some of the information from
KIS Organics
Rollitup
ICmag

I had also used some other sources but these are the main ones I had used. Another really good place that you should watch is the video from mendo dope

Recipe / Ingredents

The Ingredients I have decided on are:

  1. Sphagnum Peat Moss -
  2. ProMix HP with Mycrorizea -
  3. ProMix Vermiculture -
  4. Earth Worm Castings -
  5. Alfalfa Meal -
  6. Kelp Meal -
  7. gypsum -
  8. Epsom Salt
  9. Dolomite lime
  10. perlite (might change to lava rock)
  11. coffee grounds

I have not figured out quite the recipe I plan to use but I will mostly be going off the ones that I found and adjusting to the item I have. The end goal from making this switch is to have a no-till living organic soil for my Indoor and outdoor gardens.

Cool man! Yeah I wanted to make my own, which eventually I will. But what I got really is no different then making you own. I am just buying from someone who made there own. I just mix my living soil mix with a high quality potting soil, in my case Fox Farm, and then just add water. I may make my own tea, but instructions just say it is optional.

Now I was going to do a side by side comparison of living soil and regular, but looks like my living soil specimen is a male. Hopefully I will get an update out soon.

Yeah, I know a few people that did the soil you did or the same type. I did a lot of researchers before I bought anything to see what I wanted to do and with what I wanted to use. I found the best for myself was to make my own and let it cook. I plan to add worms and other bugs to this soil after a while of it being alive and I do more and more research. I can't wait for the steem OG to grow on this. I will be getting this started likely tonight or this weekend and I want to let it cook for around 4 weeks before I add any plants.

Yeah man living soil is the way to go. It’s been 2 years since I wanted to do this! I think I will add the living soil as top dressing when I switch my one into flower.

@porters here on behalf of @NaturalMedicine - Like your choice of ingredients. We were fortunate to get 12 year old manure that came up with a crop of white clover which fixes the nitrogen and made for a double manure, green manure, which we mixed with our compost, peat and perilite plus Mycrorizea. Never used the other ingredients but I can see how they could be very beneficial! thanks for sharing!

I was hoping for some compost but the stuff I start is not quite done. That will be getting added over time. Thanks for stopping by
