What A Difference A Dispensary Makes! - Recreational Closures

A couple weeks back, the old lady and I made our usual stop by the dispensary. To our dismay, a man let us know as we got out of our car that it had been shut down. Raided!

Delivery got us through but it also got us some mid-grade flower at best. It's not cool when you can't see or smell what you're buying. Friday came and we put our heads down to find a new walk-in dispensary.

Medical Cards Only!

What first was a bummer quickly turned into a blessing in disguise. I called up a local dispensary that came up in the search engine and a friendly lady answered the phone.

Killer Gummies For $12.00

She informed me that all dispensaries in the county were being forced to close unless they were a medical dispensary only. That meant that we would have to spend $40.00 (a piece) to get our medical cards.

Here's the first deal that caught our attention:

Before I could say no thanks and end the phone call, the lady said the full $40.00 would go towards our first order. That meant that for $80.00 both my wife and I could get our cards and have $80.00 towards product.

Shoot. We spend at least that much when we take the time to visit a walk-in shop. Why not, we figured? If we weren't too pleased with the herbs, we could still use the medical recommendations for other dispensaries.

Here's Where We Were Sold

By the time we had our phone call with the doc and received our temporary cards, we were intrigued to go inside. I had to the same location a couple years back, but now it had changed. With a new super fancy storefront, we could only guess how high the prices would be!

But the prices were incredibly low. We were quite shocked, to be honest, and started wondering if the quality was the problem. Though you could see and small the flower in glass jar displays, the product comes in sealed packages.

Jar Of Green Crack, Eighth For $22...Or So

A quarter of Indica ran me $38.00 while an eight of Pineapple Dream was only $18.00. Once we got home and were able to sample it, we knew we hit the jackpot.

No More Sorry Cartridges

Here's one place that they did get me for a few more bucks. In my last post, I was complaining about my experience with Brass Knuckles and Heavy Hitters carts. It was time for a change.

So I made the leap and bought a starter kit on this vape company called New Normal. The battery comes separate in the starter kit and I can't remember the price tag. Each refill, however, runs $65.00.

Though it may seem like a lot, the oil is pure heaven. So far, the 1 gram snap in cartridge seems to be lasting longer than I'd expect. A double bonus for the bucks.

Our new dispensary is definitely better than we had hoped for. Next time we make another trip, I'll get a better look around. And show off whatever we bring home, of course.

Rips of that Green Crack have been kicking me in the head. After seeing the close-ups, it all makes sense. 🤣🤣
