The Canadian Libertarian doesn't trust the government's involvement in cannabis and other industries and is reporting that many cannabis corporations will fall off in 2020 due to over supply, cannabis price decline, and slow roll out of stores in Ontario. Licensing, packaging, and taxes are added regulation costs. Over 200 cannabis companies are trying to get a piece of the Canadian legal cannabis market - with a large supply and a lean market, it will be survival of the fittest. "9 KC-area applicants approved for medical marijuana manufacturing" - 41 Action News

The results for licenses for cannabis manufacturing for the Kansas medical cannabis industry (including the making of edibles and other extract products) are in. More have been denied than approved, some say that corporations are being chosen over locals - only 9 of the 86 approved applicants of the 2400 that applied are from the Kansas City-area. Many would like to see more licenses given out, especially for locals to get involved in the industry.


"Dharma receives first pharmaceutical processor permit for medical marijuana in Virginia" - WJHL

Tri-city's Dharma pharmaceutical received the processor permit for growing medical cannabis in Virginia. They want to grow and dispense from the old JC Penny at the closed Bristol shopping mall. Chief Operating Officer Jack Page says Dharma is excited to receive the first permit and to start serving patients as early as this summer. Patients can already start registering with the board of pharmacy to receive their medical card.
