Rising Star Game: Frustrated by Probabilities

in Rising Star Game3 months ago

I have been playing the Rising Star game on Hive for over 4 years

This is the kind of idle game, and it does not include any period of extreme excitation like there is that I like. You can play it every day for a long time and it does not include any period of extreme excitation as there are in first-person shooter games.

There are plenty of different things that you can do in the Rising Star game, and I have done most of those.

If you have never played this game, I recommend that you try it.

Of course, as in many other idle games, you may accelerate your progress if you spend money (that is Hives of HBDs). This is not my goal: I want to play the game spending as little money as possible.

To be more interesting, I give myself some challenges.

The first one is to claim 100 times the daily achievements.

As you can see, I already claimed 64, so in 36 days I will complete this challenge, as I know how to get the 6 daily achievements every day.

My second challenge is to "complete" the Halloween Fair.

There are currently 9 "fairs" in Rising Star. 4 are permanent: Drum Fair, Guitar Fair, Keyboard Fair, and Production Fair. 5 are time-sensitive: Christmas Fair, Valentine Fair, Easter Fair, Summer Fair, and Halloween Fair.

In all of these fairs, you can get different NFTs. There are 36 different kinds of NFTs in each fair. My goal for each of these fairs is to get at least one of each of the 36 NFTs; this is what I mean to "complete" a fair.

I have already reached this goal in 4 of the 9 fairs: Drum, Guitar, Keyboard, Production, and Christmas Fairs.

Each NFT is made of 4 different parts, one of each of 4 different categories.

In the current Halloween Fair, the categories are Bodies, Engines, Coffins, and Wings.

You get one part when you complete a 5-minute mission. Each of the parts has a different probability of appearing at the end of the 5-minute mission. The 4 less probable parts in the different categories are HearsePurpleBody, HearseMonsterEngine, HearseVampireBody, and HearseMonsterWings. I believe that the probability for each of these parts is 1% or less.

To complete this fair, I will need to get 12 HearsePurpleBody, 12 HearseMonsterEngine, 18 HearseVampireBody, and 18 HearseMonsterWings.

To complete a fair, without buying some of the NFTs from other players, you need to play from 1,800 to 2,200 5-minute missions. So, on average, you get one HearseVampireBody or HearseMonsterWings every 100 to 120 missions. Yesterday night, after more than 750 missions, I had gotten only 3 HearseVampireBody and 3 HearseMonsterWings: only one of each for 250 missions. That is why I was frustrated.

I know that it is expected to have long sequences of missions where you get nothing of what you want to get. I am not saying that there is something wrong with the game.

This morning, I got 6 HearseMonsterWings in less than 3 hours

So now, on average, I got 1 HearseMonsterWings for 90 missions: much better.

I expect to complete the Halloween Fair in 2 to three weeks if I continue to play the same number of missions every day and if the Halloween Fair is still playable during that period.

I also play, although not a lot but atleast once a day.

I didn't push in a lot of funds but I did push in some to give me a little boost up from the get go. Although I should scour the market again soon!!

I just got back to playing Rising Star recently and have been increasing my fans by buying 12 packs at least once or twice a week. I also played the Holloween event but only the Fangular missions. 😀

I don't buy packs. I usually buy new cards after the 15th of the month: it is cheaper than to buy cards.

Yes that is true, I also buy fan and instrument cards from the market. The reason I buy the 12 packs is in the hopes of getting epics or legendary fan cards but they are difficult to get.

You should think about not only completing the available combinations of the Halloween car. They are unique cards and new players will not have them and will have to pay. You can grow by selling extra copies. That is my goal with the event, to have extra copies. But it is difficult to have the best parts and craft the most valuable cards. One source of growth is to bet on the value of these cards and their future sale.

First of all I wish you best of luck that you complete your challenges at the time you have set in your mind.
I didn't know how to play games on hive even You will be surprised to know I even not Play any game in my life like online gaming.
Your post is really informative to whom who wants to play and I am also curious about it that I feel it would be easy to play.
As I am a starter so I always need help and my husband help me alot to understand different things.
Its a great platform thay offers you different challenges and You keep yourself active on hive.
Very great to know about your experience and hope so I can get a good start through this.

It's a pretty interesting game and you are doing well playing it and trying not to miss a day. I may try the game sometime when I acquire a new PC unless it has a mobile version. Though I wonder if it has a significant earning potential, wouldn't want to spend precious time for peanuts as I'm not a gamer. Thanks for writing and all the best.

Though I wonder if it has a significant earning potential,

No, I don't believe that you can earn anything substantial playing Rising Star.

Interesting to hear hope you achieve more soon. I'm not much found of games like this but it's looking amazing good I think we can learn or practice Alot of things from this platform it's good to know well Enjoy it

I'm a little slow to understand these games, and it's like you say, you don't want to spend money on something I don't understand how to play, however, curiosity made me go in to see how that game works.
