Dalilah's story, in unity there is strength and with it success.

Good morning to all my dear friends from Rising Star and hive in general, I hope you are all doing very well today and having a great weekend. 2024 is almost over, right? This year has flown by, and when we come to open our eyes another year will have passed, time flies. Friends, in today's case I have decided to bring you a new story. It's been a few days since the last one I brought you here so I was looking forward to making a new one. In this case I have dedicated it to the 25 Dalilah card. As many other times to make this story I have been guided by the illustrative art of the card, which is what helps me create the story. Having said that, I hope you like it, let's begin.

Friends, I tell you that Dalilah is the kind of person that you know who always has a crazy idea floating around in her head, but who actually has a good goal as her objective. Well, that is her case. Let me tell you a little about her. She was born in Hawaii, so from a very young age she was very connected to the traditions, dances and local music. That is why it was not surprising that as soon as she began to move on her own she began to dance the hula and sing traditional songs. In fact, when she came of age she was already one of the best in her class at the dance school and in a short time she became an instructor of this art.

She went from being a student at the dance school to being a very talented teacher. But she was not completely satisfied with one thing that happened at the school. There they only taught dance, but there was no place in the city where all those students could work later on doing performances and things like that. Almost all of them worked in the capital, and they had to travel there. And others went to the beaches to dance for tourists who wanted to see traditional dances and learn a little about the local culture.

But of course, when everyone left the city was a bit neglected in this sense, there were no attractions where local people could see their children and relatives dance or sing traditional songs and this is where Dalilah's somewhat crazy ideas that I was telling you about earlier come in. It all happened when she and her friend Leilani went to swim at the beach one day and spend time drinking coffee under the sun. Dalilah told her, “Can you imagine a theater just for hula here in the city? It would be incredible, right?” She also said, “I would love to be able to make this a reality.” Do you know what Leilani answered? Well, she was a bit direct, she just said, “Honey, you and your impossible dreams. How are we going to do that if we don’t have enough money?”

Then she answered that dreaming didn’t cost anything, that that was her wish, to be able to open a place like that in the city just to dedicate it to this traditional dance. In the end, she was right in that imagining having that place didn’t cost anything, but when she started to do the math, she quickly woke up from the dream, because opening a theater is another story. Doing so involved a lot of expenses and both she and her friend were not in a position to carry out that idea at that moment, so the wish passed her by for the moment.

The truth is that it was a bit difficult for her to assimilate that, because she had the talent to be the instructor of that theater and she could bring local talent to more people and in turn generate employment. But the lack of resources was a big shock. That's how things stayed, forgotten for the next few years, but always present. Although you know, later things began to take shape a bit, which we could say unexpectedly. She had to take some writing classes to a student's house because that student had not been able to go to school. So when she was arriving home she saw that there was an old empty building nearby that said it was for sale. For the moment she just looked at it.

After leaving the student's house she returned to the place and spoke to the owners about the price and saw that it was actually very affordable, especially because it was not located in the best place. So she did the math and could see that if she asked for a loan from the bank she could pay it and then in less than a year she would get out of debt. But when she entered the place she saw why it cost so little. Inside the building was destroyed. It needed a complete rebuild, meaning painting the walls, polishing the floors, buying seats, lights, and building the stage, among many other things. At first glance, that was too much, so she told the seller that she would think about it and that if he still had it when she returned, they would come to an agreement.

The first thing she did after that was to look for support, because it would be very difficult to do it alone. That's why she thought that talking to some local businessmen would be a good idea. For example, some were having losses because that area of the city did not attract tourists, others had souvenir and gift shops, but since the influx of people was not very large, especially because there was nothing important in the area, they were having big losses as well. That's why when she told the idea to every business and entrepreneur in the area, many saw an opportunity in her idea to make the area more popular.

So in the following days she organized a closed-door meeting with the biggest businessmen in that area. They agreed that having a theater in the area was a very good idea, because people from other parts of the city would come to visit the theater and at the same time eat or buy gifts from local businesses. So in a way everyone won with her idea. That's why they told her that they were all going to join together to finance the theater work she wanted to do to give presentations of traditional dances but with an emphasis on hula.

When the meeting ended, she was very happy because now her idea, which at first sounded crazy, could soon become a reality. The first thing she did was call her friend Leilani to give her the news. She couldn't believe it when Dalilah told her everything. Dalilah told her that very soon the two of them would be giving presentations at the theater and teaching new people to learn the dances. So the two of them ended up very happy that day. With the funds available, she went and bought the building. She hired a company to remodel it and turn it into what she wanted, a beautiful theater. The work took more than 4 months, because there was a lot to fix and build. But the day of the completion came and it was finally ready.

Everything was clean and shiny, with good quality seats and a beautiful platform for the theater. Now all that was left was to hire the staff to do the work. For this, Dalilah contacted all of her friends and fellow teachers. Together they created a team to give presentations at the place every day. With all this in place they were ready to inaugurate the place. A week later that day arrived. All the businesses in the area were waiting for it to open because it was literally their salvation.

Local television and the press came to document the event, because it was very important for everyone. Many people and artists from other cities also came to see the opening program. The number of people was so great that they had to put screens outside because there was not enough room for people inside the place. Everyone sat down to watch and after Dalilah's opening words about what the place meant to her and how her crazy idea had become a reality, the show began. Everything was perfect, because the hula dancers did a great job. Everyone was very pleased and wanted more.

Word of mouth immediately spread the word of the place like hotcakes all over the island. So in a few weeks, tourists were lining up to see the shows, as were the natives of the city themselves. While they waited, some bought food and items in local businesses, thus fulfilling the aspirations of all those who financed the project for their businesses. The area went from being a forgotten area on the map to being the main attraction of the city. All the businesses from other parts of the city such as hotels and restaurants wanted to move near the theatre because of its great interest to the public.

During a break they had Dalilah jokingly said to Leilani, Did you see that crazy idea finally worked? The two of them laughed and said that it's true, nothing is impossible when you have the right friends and people supporting you. From here everything was going smoothly, many adventures awaited them together.

Friends, this has been my story for today. I hope you liked it. If that was the case, I would love to hear your opinions in the comments. I am open to suggestions for future stories. If you wish, you can recommend a letter for the next story and I will use it as the protagonist of the next story. Thank you very much for reading. See you soon.
