I was of the weekend, which i can describe as the great sample of how perfectly i can spend my free time. Yesterday was very nice, but much less photography oriented. But today it was fully dedicated to the communication with people and photography. Due to the use of only analog equipment, as usual it will take some time until the images will see light, or more exactly until the light will touch these images :-)) So i tried, even "hated", documenting some moments of the walk with my phone camera. I deeply don't like using it and my attitude towards these works is dismissive, but this is only way to show you some of the moments I witnessed some of them today.
First of all at 8:00 am we arrived at the beautiful and foggy point of view in the mountains, located almost on our way to the city.
The nights there are very cold, so when the sun is touching with its warm beams every surface, it became "breathing". So, the more breathing surfaces, the deeper fog around this area.
Then we moved into the city. The early morning traffic was very thin, so we moved very fast between our destinations. The next place of our visit was a Kidane Mehret Ethiopian Orthodox Church, located in the center of the city, very close to the Jafo street and the Orthodox Mea Shearim quarter. There was a surprise waiting for us there. The church was packed with people - the Ethiopian community celebrated their "Feast of the Holy Theophany (Epiphany)".
The Prophet wasn't too happy when he saw me taking pictures, but he was actually over photographed by all the participants in the action, taking videos and photos here and there without stopping.
After some conversation with a few participants of the ceremony, we continued our walk to the old city of Jerusalem.
Today you will find in my post too many photographs from the religious places, even i'm not a believer, but i love to see these different cultures, and Jerusalem is filled with these cultures of different colors and shades.
Our next destination was the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, which already long time was under heavy construction and i'm sure that many tourists spending a lot of savings with the goal to visit there once in a lifetime, were disappointed to find the place half covered and half "destroyed". And i hope that the result will look more like restoration than modernization.
The Deir Al-Sultan Ethiopian Monastery, located at the right side and on the roof of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher remained untouched by renovation.
And as a conclusion to this orthodox story, some different cross, from the different church.

great, bro !
I think this is the first time I see a bit of Jerusalem and its people.
Many say it is the place of belief and where the spirit soars to heaven.
It is impressive how the style of the city has been maintained with the passing of time.
you can find much more from Jerusalem in my posts. And this ti,e the images are only from the ancient old city. the whole city is looking absolutely different.
