META 2022- My very first pageant, which changed my life - Series 1

Sometimes we need to break out of our shells and explore the outside world in order to achieve our goals. It was difficult for me to meet new people because I am an introvert, and communication was the most difficult part. I have a very small group of friends (about 5 people).

It's not that I didn't want to go out; I just wanted to discover new things around me and achieve a lot more in my life.

@bighungrypanda asked me to take part in META 2022. When I discovered this pageant, I wanted to give it a shot and understand how these things work. Obviously, when it comes to modelling, exposure is significant. Perhaps this was the reason I stepped on.

The first day I went to the Meta 2022 inaugural ceremony and realised that it's a lifestyle pageant; it doesn't matter how tall you are, your appearance, colour, or body type; it's all about how you carry yourself and be confident.

To be completely honest, I had a racing heart and wanted to flee, but a 10-minute phone call from my best friend changed my mind.

Well, I would definitely say that if I had turned around and run like a coward, I would have lost a lot of things. Thanks for my courage 😅

So, after I registered for this competition, we had a series of challenges to complete on which we would be graded on some particular basis, and it will be decided whether we will continue or not.

The first challenge was to demonstrate creativity by using
Instagram Reels

I mean, first and foremost, I'm terrible at making reels, and secondly, even though I didn't want to do it, I had to. So we had a set of rules that included a 24-hour time limit and the use of a scarf as a prop.

I asked @varunpinto to shoot the reel video, and he was extremely helpful in putting my concept into a frame. Thank you so much, Varun ❤

Many more challenges awaited us, such as creating reels for specific brands. Grooming sessions included personality development, fitness, verbal delivery training, and walks, among other things.

I apologise for the lack of photos from the first few days of this session, but I promise to upload many more in my second series on the META 2022.

So that was my experience in the early stages of the competition. In a future post, I'll share my experience and what I learned during my META 2022 journey.
