Looks like you said your summit was the lookout area over the lake. The actual summit of the mountain is another 20mins hike further up to the fire lookout station though, which is awesome because it gives you the view to the north to yamnuska and the bow valley. I prefer that hike in the winter actually snow shoe up to the lookout and have miles of scenery to the north then back down jewel pass and the lake zone. So much to explore there, I've done it at least 6 times (by hiking, bike and unicycle)...
Thanks for the correction. When I was going up, the last portion was not clearly marked, so I asked a few folks that were nearby, and they weren’t sure either, so I just followed someone else to that point. That being said, I didn’t do a whole lot of research on this one before starting, but still would be nice for more signage. Not even just here, but signage is a bit of an issue on a lot of hikes (at least for someone at my level).
