I noticed something a while ago when I went to an interesting place with my friends to film a video. Footprints left in the snow are more distinct and permanent than other footprints. Footprints in the soil disappear after a while with the help of the wind. Footprints in the mud become less visible when they dry. Footprints in the snow, however, remain visible for a very long time. Even if a new mass of snow falls on top of it, it's still noticeable. When the sun completely melts the snow, the footprints begin to disappear. In places where winter lasts for months, the footprints remain as they are for months.

The tracks in the snow are mostly those of cats, dogs, people, or car tires. Some also want to write their loved one's name on the snow, adding a heart symbol next to it.

Dog handprints and footprints. Foxes and wolves are also found in this area, but I don't think they would be this close at this time of year. If they have difficulty hunting around February, they might come here, leave their footprints, and then leave.

Car tracks. The road is used many times, so all the tracks are intertwined. Those who used this road probably wanted to take videos or photos of the scenery, just like us. We didn't want to drive the car on this snowy road. It could have caused problems, especially on the way back.

And these are the traces we leave behind. Shoe prints. More permanent than fingerprints. While fingerprints last for a maximum of 24 hours, the prints we leave on the snow may still be there as they were. Unless another living thing alters that print, it will remain there for a very long time. The traces left in our own lives are similar. Some prints remain as they are, fresh, even after years. Others fade immediately; they are not permanent. Who left the print is the most determining factor in terms of permanence.

An interesting perspective. Now that I think about it, especially when I went down to the garden in the village, the footprints I left there remained for weeks because no animal or person wanted to step on a 40-centimeter gap. As you can imagine, the sun couldn't melt such a thick layer of snow before March. In a way, I was leaving a legacy until summer 😂
Haha...It really is. Kind of like marks left on the heart. They last a long time. I realized it while taking the photos. I didn't want to post about footprints left in the snow.
Thank you @qurator & @ewkaw
I honestly didn't know this fact about footprints in the snow, well perhaps because I live in a country where I've never seen snow and I don't know its shape or texture either, but on the other hand, some good shots, without a doubt snow is like an excellent decoration for landscapes.

The footprints left in the snow last a long time. Just like the little prints left on the heart :)

STOPHi... nice picture... I imagine I will be able to slide with the sky in place... is this snow very deep and will make us stick there?
The snow is deep and there's a risk of getting trapped. Actually, it hasn't snowed much yet. When it snows, several meters of snow accumulate on the ground.
One of the better takes on this 👍
