Yes! It has always been a favorite place of mine and of course, in my memories, it was much more beautiful than what it is now. I've been looking for up-to-date information on what they're doing, and it seems like it should be fine. They have cut down about 8 hectares of coniferous trees, and it seems that a swamp area will be created instead, which will then form the transition from forest to water. This is done to expand biodiversity...so it might just be worth keeping an eye on anyway.

Thanks for dropping by. !PIZZA

Well, at least they aren't ruining it by building stuff there ;)
There's a huge nature reserve near us too, it's just that you need a car (not a big van that's a rental lol) to get to the sweet spots so I'm really hoping within 1.5-2 months we will be able to get one to check it out.. Seems like a gem with all kinds of nature. Maybe you should check the Maashorst again after it's done :)

Yeah, checking it after they´re done is a great idea, I only don´t know how long it will take until they´re done. But well, we wanted to go again in 3 weeks from now. When my partner has his holidays. So, then I know if they are moving fast with the plans or that it will take quite some time.

Next time we only need to have more time, so I guess that we will leave home even earlier next time. Lol

A big van is maybe not the best idea, but a big nature reserve next door is great to have!
