The marshes on West island

The marshes on West island

As I mentioned in yesterdays Wednesday Walk post, I got quite a few photos on that morning walk, and edited a bunch of them, so doing a follow on post this time while still on West Island focusing more on the marshes that the beach.

The marshes were the main plan for my visit that morning as based on what the weather apps were showing me for clouds I didn't expect much of a sunrise.

I had visited this area many times before but had always been walking around the coast line by the water, only recently did I realize how beautiful the marshes back rom the beach were.
Over the sea the clouds were quite dark and dreary for the most part, but on the marshes looking inland there was less clouds and some nice subtle colors

I found it so refreshing walking there, I saw a lot of movement in the water in the puddle by the path shown in this next shot, but when I approached closer to see what was in the water they all moved into the reeds and out of view so I have no clue what they were

Another shot looking over the reeds or see grass or whatever it is, some nice colors coming up in the sky, the other nice thing about this spot or that morning, there were no bugs flying around which is always nice as the bugs can be so annoying

Across the marshes was a line of trees

As I am heading back to where the car was parked, the low sun casting my shadow in the center of the photo, and you can see the old WW2 observation tower on the left

and to finish off this shot as I was almost back at the car park, Liked this path of water in the greens

Your shots always gets my full attention because of the colorful clouds, I so much love all of them, I wish I could get one for myself 🙃.

The last image was the perfect one, the complete touch of both nature and the beautiful blue clouds.

Always a pleasure to be here 🥰. Hope you are having a great weekend JJ?

Thanks for such a kind comment I am humbled by it

You're always welcome JJ, I'm more honored 🙌.

Those contrasting blues and greens a pretty awesome. Looks like some really fantastic shots you got here! I did a horrible job of keeping up on my exercise this week, but next week is a new week!

Thanks so much I loved this place

Yes I have set myself a goal for Sunday to get started again exercising it’s cooling down so no excuse not to

I agree the marshes make a good foreground for your sunrise shots. The light greens add another color. Great shots! Happy Friday!

Thanks kindly

It is beautiful. Never been to the swamps !!

This is such a stunning area… it looks so peaceful. Beautiful. Love the third and last photograph the most.
So calm… the grass blowing in the wind, the ripples in the water. Stunning.
Have a wonderful Friday @tattoodjay 😊👋🏻

Thanks for your feedback, its funny I always walked the beach and didnt really know about this area, I think I love it more than the beach

Have a great weekend

You are welcome @tattoodjay 😊
It is a special area and I can see why you would say you love it more than the beach. The variety there will be so much more than the beach… what you see and can capture.

Thank you, enjoy yours 👋🏻😊

Beautiful landscapes, I consider it a privilege to be able to spend time outdoors and achieve beautiful captures.

Thanks and yes I feel the same way

These are such well done photos that convey the feeling of standing in that place.... Great job!
