Mono monday here and there

Good Morning, I hope your weekend went well, and I wish you a good week ahead
As usual for the start of the week I am sharing a few mono images.

Now some may not be sure what the difference is between Monochrome and Black and white photography or editing, so let me try and explain it

Monochrome photography uses variations of a single color or tone (like shades of gray, sepia, or blue) instead of the full spectrum, focusing on light, texture, shape, and mood rather than colorful hues. It strips away color to emphasize timeless qualities, contrast, and emotional depth, making subjects like form, pattern, and atmosphere more prominent, often achieved through filters, lighting, or as I do most often post-processing.

Now I used to often do shades of blue, but depending on the subject and I do find myself now more often going with either black or sepia tones, and dependign ho the intesnity of the sahe of the color at firtst appearance it can appear a black and white image, for three of the photos I share today it may be hard to tell which is sepia and which if any is B&W

Lets start down at the port, the water was very still and also witht he long exposure I got a cool mirror effect with the reflections

THis is on the Harbor walk here in New Bedford, and I went with a blueish tinge for this one

Another spot I often vist the pier at the end of the harbor walk, if you look closely, you may not some squirls of light on the pier, that was me doing light painting, this one didn't work out well but I do like this shot in MONo
