A sunrise walk from April
Good morning
Today I will share some shots from a walk back in April, I have been out for recent walks but hevent edited the photos from those yet and hence sharing these ones
The walk was in Fort Tabor park here in New Bedford at least thats what the sign says at the entrance to the park, but many locals especially the ones around my age ie the older folks call it Fort Rodman
starting with a shot of the Fort there which is called Fort Rodman which is a pain as I would love to see inside it sometime.
Infact this fort is one f the places and reasons why I have bene tempted of recent to buy a drone, to be able to fly over it and maybe even drop down inside it to see what it is like

Some history on the fort
Also known as the Old Stone Fort, Fort Rodman (known as "Fort at Clark's Point" until 1898) began construction in 1857 under the third system of US fortifications, and in 1862 construction became overseen by Henry Robert, author of Robert's Rules of Order and an Army Corps of Engineers officer. The fort, as built, had emplacements for 72 cannon in three tiers; a fourth tier was originally planned, but this was removed from the design to allow more timely completion. Construction was halted in 1871, and the fort as planned was never completed

Nice photos as always. April was a rough month for my wife and I. We lost our dog at the beginning of that month. It was tough.
So sorry to hear that my thoughts with you both
Thank you!
Great morning blues 👍 that rich blue is always gorgeous
It's true that sometimes it's very tempting to want to buy a drone 😀
Now that would be very cool! Have a drone fly over or even down inside to get a look around, what a great idea!
