Beautiful photos! Once I heard (or read) that fishermen kept cormorants on their boats to fish for them while they were out to sea. They are not the most beautiful of birds but they hold my fascination none the less. As you are heading into winter, we are headed into spring. The seasons are everchanging 🙂 !LUV

Thank you and yes, the cormorants bring the fish in, and the fishermen use the fish as bait to catch the big ones. At least that's what I seem to remember. They indeed have fascinating habits even if they are not the best looking birds. I love the African Darter (Snake bird) more, as it is bigger than the cormorants in the same family, and they use their sharp pointed bills to spear the fish.
