Look at that Rack! - Big Buck at the Bird Feeder - by Sunscape

This handsome guy has found the bird feeder and now I know why it gets emptied so quickly. This 8-point buck apparently likes to stick his tongue in the openings and eat the seed.

I happened to see him from the kitchen window and snuck out on the back porch to take a couple photos. I only had my phone nearby, so the pictures are not that great.

He's watching me now and can see me clearly. He has such a beautifully shaped rack, doesn't he?

Then he was off like a flash. I guess he got too nervous with me watching him. I'm sure he will be back now that he knows where the seeds are.

The trees are dusted with another round of snow and if you look closely, so is the deer.

I'm certain we will be having a very white Christmas this year.

Well, I've never heard of deer doing that! But I hang my feeders as high as I can, so my deer won't be trying that. He sure was a handsome fellow, though!

Yea, it's not the first time I've seen deer doing it. We actually take it down every night and hang it on the porch because of them. lol

Nice deer photos! We've had issues with deer eating the bird seed, too. My sister and brother-in-law have taken great pains to hang their feeders so deer, bears, and squirrels can't access them.
