A few photos from Christmas time in Vermont. Some nice dawn colors on our morning walks.

Most of our walks take us down to the lake. The south end of the lake is covered in ice and new snow on this day.

Not a lot of snow on the ground but enough to cover the fields.

On Christmas morning we usually have homemade cinnamon rolls. This is something my family has started doing. Growing up for me it was usually Fruity Pebbles 😊

Lots of overcast days but the sun sometimes peaks through with dramatic effect. This is on the north end of the lake that is deeper and still open.

We have a traditional heavy, German influenced Thanksgiving meal so we usually lighten it up for Christmas.

It has been snowing off and on all week. This morning was a gentle snowfall. Hope you had a joyful Christmas week!

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.... So beautiful!
It was a nice easy, white Christmas. Going to get cold this afternoon. Like single digits at night for the next several days 🥶
We got a bit of snow overnight, just a couple inches but enough that the plows were out, and now temps have dropped here, too. Family will be here all week, until the weekend. 🙂
Awesome! Family always makes the holidays special
Undoubtedly a perfect place to spend Christmas amidst beautiful scenery and lots of snow.

New England is good for that iconic white Christmas 🙂
So far, Christmas week has been so good. a great chance to recharge, rest, and relax.
A little dusting, an one day, 4 inches of snow, but mostly a good week.
Good week here as well. Ordered some blackberries recently. Always thinking about next year in the garden ...
I ordered some Thornless! Can't wait to see how they do.

Tell me more about your Christmas meal. It certainly was colorful! Glad you had a nice white Christmas!
We do a traditional Thanksgiving - Turkey, stuffing, cranberries, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, everything so for Christmas we usually do something entirely different instead of doing Thanksgiving over. This year was baked salmon, asparagus, quinoa, and a green salad. Plus my wife made Parker House rolls which is a traditional Thanksgiving thing in my family but we didn't make them for Thanksgiving this year.
That all sounds so good! It must have been the quinoa that added the color.
