Walking to a waterfall [ENG-ESP]

When the weather is hot and you are hiking, I consider it an excellent reward when the end point of the hike is a place to cool off 😃. So was this hike between mountains near the town of San Joaquin, in Carabobo state, Venezuela.

We went to El Aguacate hill, a place that is accessed through a farm and where on weekends many people go to train, for example runners and cyclists.

At first the trail is clear, without any vegetation, but after about half an hour walking, you find yourself in a forest. I loved the scenery, the mountains here have very steep crags.

The coolness provided by the trees is instantaneous, as soon as they appear the temperature changes, what a relief, because the sun was very strong.

About an hour had passed since the beginning of the hike and finally water appeared, a stream with a mini waterfall.

The trail was marked on one side of the river and we climbed up that way, but not before wetting our faces to get rid of the sweat, the water was so cold!

A few minutes later we arrive at the waterfall, first we see a small one that descends between the rocks and further up is the big one.

People also come here to practice canyoning, which is like rappel, they go down with ropes through ravines where water falls.

When we were going up to the big waterfall, we saw that there was a well where the water was coming down, many people go up just to jump into that natural little pool.

Finally, after about 7 km of walking, we had our refreshing prize at this beautiful waterfall on El Aguacate hill, which must be about 10 meters high. I went in there with the clothes I was wearing, but on the way back it dried out completely.
