RE: My first Araguaney in bloom this year 🌼 Mi primer Araguaney en flor del año

Yes, there have been some reactions. Apart from what I express in this post, I'll share this one with you, which is quite close to my opinion:

Thank you! I somehow didn´t notice you shared your opinion on this topic in this very post, sorry about it. Just read it as well as the linked post. Makes perfect sense to me. But it´s interesting to see how differently people view all of this. For some, it´s unprecedented violation of a country´s sovereignty while others celebrate it as an act of liberation from dictatorship. I´m too far to be able to make a solid opinion on these happenings but I do really hope for the best for the people of Venezuela. Stay strong guys!

Of course, there are many views on the internal conflict in the country, and it is something that we must resolve. I don't believe in foreign intervention for the sake of “democracy,” especially when the world's largest oil reserves are located here. “An act of liberation from dictatorship” is the last thing it is, coming from the US, a country that throughout history has demonstrated many times that democracy and freedom are the least of its concerns (why don't they “help” Haiti, for example?). Moreover, they no longer even try to hide it; they have directly stated that they want “total access” to Venezuelan oil and that they will manage it. Everything is clear; let us hope there will be no further aggression, 100 people died.

Thank you for your good wishes! 😉

You are definitely right about the US fondness for "importing democracy and freedom" to troubled countries with large natural resources. It has indeed happened many times already. Like I said - whatever outcome all of this will have, I really hope that the people of Venezuela will eventually be better off.

Thank you, @phortun! That's what all of us who live here want. Internal political conflicts to be mitigated, institutions to function as they should and there to be no abuses, the US to lift the sanctions it imposed on us in 2017 and, finally, the resources we have to be used to solve people's problems, such as the economy, which is the most pressing issue.

Agradecido por la mención a nuestro post..!

Abrazo entrañable y feliz 2026!

P.S. Hazme saber cuándo pases por Maracay, para ver si podemos charlar y compartir un café...
